These are some of the best videos I've found on instrument flying in FS20. Thank you so much and please keep it up! I love it!

Thank you for continuing to make these videos. FS2020 got me back into flight sim and your videos have been invaluable.

Thank you very much for making these excellent tutorials. Without an official MSFS user manual we can use all the help we can get. Thanks for taking the time to do them.

Brilliant, thanks for that. While I soloed after 9 hours, I ran out of money before I gained my PPL due to being furloughed. I’m really enjoying your more structured tutorials. This is what I had hoped I would have been doing all those years ago. Thanks again

Very informative, thank you! I was using Jeppesen charts and SkyVector for my VFR and IFR flights for a long time but when the new sim came out I was very rusty on all that after a several years break. These videos have a lot of details I didn't know before, keep em coming and good luck.

@pgatcomb I watch a lot of KZbin videos and your videos are by far the most straight to the point and easiest to understand and follow along step by step. Keep up the great work! Thanks for the content

Thanks very much for your excellent tutorials! I'm totally new to flight sims (unless you count the Commodore 64 ones... ;) and with your help I am feeling much more competent (and confident!). Looking forward to see what you will teach next!

Following the Coastal Seven Departure is quite a fun flight, though maybe a bit long on the Cessna 152. I ended up getting to roughly SHERL with about 8% fuel remaining :D Really enjoying these videos - great job!

nice. I've been flying IFR in fog in the 152 (i am too poor to afford the cool 172 ...) since your last series. I really hope modders make more non glass cockpit planes

Does Skyvector use the same VORs and Frequencies that Fs2020 use though???
@nicolatogni49964 жыл бұрын
I'm doing a trip across Europe right now and the VOR frequencies are the same! 👍🏻

Solid info, thank you for all that you do. Have you looked at Fltplan.com for charts and maps? It can be synced with the new sim to give you real time map tracking, including on the ground while taxiing or on an approach. And they have a binder system that is a nice way to keep all the plates you use together instead of printing / searching for them constantly! Keep up the goodness man!!

Skyvector shows charts for US airports and AirNav also seems to work only with US airports. Any suggestion for non US?
@ProWithABow2314 жыл бұрын
Pilotnav.com might be the answer you’re looking for. A quick google search of “[airports ICAO code] approaches” could get you more information. For example, EGLL (London) Approaches or KMEM (Memphis, TN) approaches. Hope that helps
@SumatraXSI54 жыл бұрын
@@ProWithABow231 Thank you. I tried that one, but when clicking on any of the charts it takes me to a different website named Simplates requesting payments

XSI5 whoops. I saw PDFs of the approaches and thought they would be free to download/view. Sorry :(

it's too bad we can't seem to use skyvector for europe like you seem to work it for america. (the nice cards for the airports) other than that i might actually start understanding VOR at some point XD

One thing \I'm not sure of when flight planning, what makes you choose World lo or World hi? Is there a certain altitude you would mainly use World hi?
@ProWithABow2314 жыл бұрын
IFR Enroute High charts are used for 18,000 and above. Low charts are for 17,999 and below. High charts are meant for bigger areas, so they will give you less detail.

ProWithABow231 thanks very much for that explanation! 👍

You didn’t say RNAV was “random navigation”, did you? Interesting concept.
@cmdrcumulus19384 жыл бұрын
Yes he did ... Area navigation used to be called "random navigation" , hence the acronym RNAV -> i was wondering too ... so i looked it up :-)
@sv91414 жыл бұрын
I'm familiar with VOR navigation, do I need to know anything else or could I just take off? What will the other 2 videos be about?
@joelmulder4 жыл бұрын
If you know how to fly straight to and cross reference VORs, you should be able to do this with a little practice.
