Course select is with the right side inner knob from the "Full" screen mode. The text just above the left and right knobs tells you what the knob is doing in the different pages, because the function of the knobs changes depending on what display page you're in. [Edit: I see you caught that at the end.] Great video! (My second time watching it) 🙂 I just got the full G3X touch functionality working with my touchscreen home cockpit (see my videos for details). BTW on the G3X if you are in FULL screen, the knob on the bottom right changes function and lets you adjust course and baro.

Is that the only way to change BARO and CRS? (Not counting key/control mapping)

REALLY appreciate these tutorials .. I've had a 15 year hiatus from all things Flight Simulator and the biggest thing for me is transitioning from steam guages and good old VOR nav to glass cockpits. Vids like this are indespensible! I'd be happy too if you made the vid longer by talking slower so I can take it all in lol. But I'm happy to rewatch it a bunch of times too! ;-)

some corrections here, the transponder frequency is fixed, it always receives on 1030 MHz and replies on 1090MHz, the squawk code is dialed in per ATC's request. The squawk code is transmitted digitally using a 12 bit binary number. Therefore, it has 4096 possible values. The thirteenth bit is reserved for the IDENT operation.

Great tutorial! Didn't realize I could press the touchscreen where it says "Map" and it performs the same function as pressing the "Menu" button. This is super helpful to me since I control the G3X with my popped out panel therefore don't always have a convenient ability to press the "Menu" button since it's separate from the popped out panel

It's weird sometimes waypoints and legs don't show on my map. Is there a button or something to turn them on and off?

I have a question, who knows if anybody will ever read this note? When I start my Garmin is showing North Up that's a thing, that personally I don't like at all. I would prefere to switch to Trk Up. Is there a way to do it? I am going crazy trying to discover how to do it...

hi there, dats kinda wierd cause the waypoint info i have are completely false, while you confirm a direct wpt at 5nm you get in the first line at the top completely different infos maybe 2134nm and other wield data , have you ever got the same thing ?

Thanks for the video. Very helpful. My Piper Pilot has a G3X and the instructor usually does all the button pushing. Did you create this with Microsoft Flight Simulator?

How come after inserting departure-waypoint-arrival, the track indicator is not being displayed ? any solution to that ?

In the vl3 the engine Info is in the right G3X...is there a way to activate it in the legt Screen?

So... how do you turn it on? When I turn on the master, the garmin "boots" and then gives me a half screen, at 5% brightness, with the "menu" button doing nothing, and the knobs controlling zip. Pretty useless if I can't program it O_o
