If you read through their poorly written blog, they claim they have partnered with a manufacturer, as far as I saw this company usually makes iphone clones (from the design anyway), pretty poor choice for a handheld. GPD Win 2 is to expesive $650 for early buyers and $900 for people who got it later. I remerber to whoever I talk everyone says that $650-$900 is way over they budget to get a portable gaming device. If you compare it to a Nintendo Switch that cost $300 yea GPD Win 2 does not look so good

Also comparing it to a Switch price is not really fair. 1) Gpd doesnt have the resources to mass produce their product like the switch nor do they have the guaranteed sales, so their costs and need to hit certain numbers are greater than the switch. You're paying premium for a niche product 2) The switch may cost less, but every game is going to cost $30 - $60 and you can only play proproetary games, so any game you want to play with it you have to spend, even if you own the PC version. With the GPD, you have access to your entire Steam library you already own, emulate almost all PS2/Gamecube era and prior games, and have constant sales or lower cost versions of games (Doom on PC is $15, while on Switch is $60). 3) The GPD Win 2 can do a lot more than the switch. The only advantages the switch has are Nintendo brand games, games designed for its hardware, and big company support. The GPD Win 2 can do anything a PC can bc it is a PC, and you store the games on the device instead of having ro use cartridges. 4) Switch will soon charge for online play 5) You have to spend $70+ for a pro controller, while the Win 2 projected on your TV becomes a pro controller due to its built in controller 6) The Win 2 is much more portable. Costs more to manufacture a product like that and paying for niche components You may be saving when you just buy the devices and do nothing, but in practicality you're not saving on the switch if the Wim ends up costing around $700

I'm not making it up it is right thete on the page. 2nd yea new games cost money but usually if you wait a bit prices in games go down, I remerber one time paying $12 for Batman Archam City on Amazon and it was a bit over a year old. 3rd Why you need a pro controller? You get joycons with the console what is the official controller and even if you really need a d-pad there are more options than a pro controller. There is the mayflash adapter what is like $20 and let you use amlost every controller so you can use a Wii U pro controller or a PS4 controller on your Switch or even 3rd party controllers that are usually $20-$30. 4th Holding a GPD win while connected to a TV and in a power port? Yea no tnx that sounds just not nice to hold. 5th I dont buy a gaming device to write reports for work I buy a gaming device to play games also if I'm gonna browse the web or write documents I would use my PC or laptop to do stuff like that.

You know, I still have a hard time understanding how those dual screens would work on windows. Clearly the SoC isn't powerfull enough to hold 2 displays. Games usually hate that setup and sometimes you may need to run a game in windowed mode to have a picture on one of the screens but that will make the PGS kinda annoying to use because running low res in windowed mode ends up in... a small window on the screen. The dual screens work on something like the 3DS because the whole OS was designed for that.
