Im 78 years old and making slow progress with small hands while exercising and stretching before attempting. You do a great job of explaning and appreciate your humor. At my age its good to try to keep the old thing upstairs learning every day.

@ElectricHornet3 жыл бұрын
I was very impressed at how you didn't edit out the bit at 3:12 where the cards slipped out of your hands and dropped. In almost every tutorial I watch the mistakes are edited out, giving this feeling of perfection and perfect mastery of the move... But the thing is, nobody is perfect, and the fact that you guys aren't afraid to show that is why your content stands out from the crowd. When I saw that happen, I instantly lost around 40%-60% of that "hopeless" feeling you get when you're trying to learn what seems to be an impossibly complicated flourish. Instead of a picture of an absolutely flawless cardist (which by the way for everyone who's reading this, DOESN'T EXIST) you're showing us that you're human just like we all are, and it really promotes a sense of connection and encouragement that everyone makes mistakes, and THAT'S OKAY. A wonderful example of "honest editing"... don't ever stop 💯

also, for Phaced and the kickflip/skater cut flourishes i find it easier if the pack that you rotate is smaller, maybe between 5-10 cards, cause its easier to spin and control it

In tobias’ tutorial, he was like “first of do a skater cut then-“ and in this video “you do this then-“ Pretty clear difference on which one is better
@pwassson16044 жыл бұрын
Well actually if you know the skater cut it's faster to just say "skater cut" in a tutorial than explaining the whole process of the cut
@12stem7a-santosjaysoncolli64 жыл бұрын
Pwassson it doesn’t matter how fast or slow it is. If the person that wants to learn it doesn’t learn, it’s pointless.

@pwassson16044 жыл бұрын
@@12stem7a-santosjaysoncolli6 yeah but skater cut is a pretty simple cut, and a basic moove, just like the Z grip for the sibyl cut, witch is n'ont mentionned on all vidéos where it's needed. I personnaly prefer watching a dédicaces vidéo for a simple cut and then learn the whole moove: i fond it more "organisés" :)

Damm it Chandler!!! .. I really enjoy these "troubleshooting" videos, but god damn it! .. I have such a problem with the move at 5:10, and I keep ending up with 52 cards pickup during that part of the flourish! and you just skipped the part like a walk in the park! 😫 Now i taped an old deck into 5 chunks so i only have to pick up fewer stacks each time the cards ends on the floor! 😂😅 Lot's of love from Denmark 🇩🇰 and keep up the good work.. These "troubleshooting" videos usually are much better than the original tutorial videos 👍👍❤️

Can you do a prequel tutorial? The third major action during which your right hand reaches over to grab the card clipped between your pinky and ring finger of your left hand seems to occur almost by Magic. That is, the revolution of the packet around the base of your left thumb under and over the packet you previously swing cut it into your left hand. Nobody seems to tutorialize that bit.

I could NOT for the life of me figure out that rotation when you're about to the the 'big scissor cut' in the other hand... I don't know if it was the audio repeating 'back then forward' but I slowed it down to 0.25 and watched it for 30 mins straight and I just maybe figured it out. This is actually one of my first two handed cuts, only been learning cardistry for a month, how long should I expect to take to master this and other tricks?? I'd like to know if I match up to standard time frames for progress.
