You quite often talked about the background noise and apologize for it, on this end listening to your video, I don't notice it. Aw Danny, I’m so happy for you that the changes have had positive effects on your life! Time management, especially as a small business owner, is so very difficult. If you are only accountable to yourself, it is easy to develop bad habits and not take time for self care. But you DESERVE time for your self and you will be better at everything else you do if your needs are met. Bravo for doing that for yourself!

Did work out too yesterday in the greenhouse: it sure hurts but in the long term, it's worth it. Will you make a video about your weightlifting routine? I'm kinda interested in that, but I'm not sure how to start! Thanks Dany, happy to know that you're taking time for yourself!
@MissOrchidGirl Жыл бұрын
Hi, oh I'm not very knowledgeable on that to make a full video on it and don't have much to show for it, but after much trial and error I'm sticking to just a few base exercises and do multiple reps of those. I try to stay consistent and not switch it up all the time anymore 😂 so I have a weight set and my split is something like: 3 days a week, 1 day lower body (kills me so that's all I do that day) 1 day upper body and core plus cardio, 1 day full body plus cardio :) simple and nice 🙂 so I think stick to simplicity and depending on your goals just pick the moves that better suit your goals and current possibilities. Don't neglect a dynamic warmup pre workout and stretches after. Sustain your muscles with lots of protein too, otherwise you'll damage them! Good luck, you're doing something amazing for your body long term! 👍

Thanks for the tips, they are an important part of the care! What do I do if I have a keiki that was separated from the mother plant and put in a "closed" system - a glass with a bit of leca at the bottom and bark on top? It was fine till yesterday, but this morning I see that leaves are beginning to wrinkle. Since I can see through that all the roots are fine, what should I do?

My experience with this particular hybrid has been more of a struggle than with my other phals - it just kept losing old roots to root rot after a repot. Although it recovered quick enough and the new roots have adapted nicely.

Again, love watching your videos. Always feel I could keep on learning, no matter what. I'm glad to hear you are having more time for yourself, and you are working out again ( though from my perspective, you look naturally beautiful). Also, you seem to do a good job on noise editing, cause ever since you've worked on your videos, I could never hear anything really in the background.
@MissOrchidGirl Жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you! 🧡 Glad the noises are not audible, sometimes random people just shout on the street 🤣 regarding working out, it's not only about looking like I'd want, but also I don't want to get weaker as I get older. I've seen what a sedentary life can lead to, so I want to maintain my muscle mass as I age so that I am as strong as I can be and not prone to really bad injuries due to muscle loss. Also I feel good when I feel stronger, it's a bit addictive 🤣

Hi Danny. What are those freckles on the leaves? One of my Phal also has those patterns on the leaves. Is it from dehydration? Thank you.
@vamosaltemacongabrielmende3965 Жыл бұрын
Well I’m recovering a phal that I found at a local big box store and was sad, actually super sad dehydrated, root issues, etc. there were 2 in the pot. One is in great shape now, the other one is the previously mentioned. As for time, I respond understand how you feel. I used to do videos on a daily basis, twice a day. And got burned so bad that the last one I started recording I stopped because my mind was out of me and lost concentration. Now I have a little more time to get back to my plants and take care of them. One of these days maybe I start recording and uploading videos again. Have a great and blessed day.

@MissOrchidGirl Жыл бұрын
Hi, I am wearing them for my own protection. It's not the orchids themselves that can be harfum, but rather everything around us. The more open wounds we have, the more prone we are to get one infected. One scratch is almost never an issue for any of us, but 20 or 30 mini ones, while working with dusty potting materials? I'm not looking good 🤣 and yes I am almost always in a constant state of pain if I don't cream up right after washing my hands 😆
