Hello, congratulations for the video. Question, at 18:28 you say in the video that the images are at the end of 3 months. 1- I found it strange that the X-ray did not show consolidation after 12 weeks. 2- Do you remove the K thread in 3 weeks? Wouldn't it be too soon? Even more so without radiographic consolidation of the fracture. Congratulations again, I would just like to discuss the case. Do you own other social media?

Very astute observation, @SoulRockZ! That is the advantage of using the K wire for fixation. We remove the K wire at 3 weeks based on clinical assessment - no tenderness at fracture site, that's all. At this time, the fracture is only sticky and not yet consolidated. We can mould the fracture further with the methods I have mentioned - gentle PROM and AROM exercises, straightening splint when not exercising and repeated serial X-rays. This will ensure a good result. It always takes longer for consolidation of the bone when remoulding is done after the K wire removal. So the secondary healing in bone is further delayed. I hope I have been clear.
