NGS is pretty good for the most part, but it seriously does need more content to actually make it worthwhile. That and SEGA needs to stop arbitrarily banning most of its already dwindling playerbase.

​@@leelustig So far I've mostly seen it happen to people in an alliance I'm in, most of the leadership getting sniped supposedly by false-report spam. Outside of that it's people having the hammer dropped on them for no-no words or doing erp (even if both are done in private chats), meanwhile all those Chinese meseta bots get off scot free.

The problem with NGS is that it's supposed to be an "evolution" to the franchise, yet it does not raise the bar in any way except graphics and art style (and even this is arguable). There are only three zones and a few gigantix spawns (which are time gated & RNG) that are relevant for endgame In NGS, in comparison to PSO1, which had tons of quests, ultimate modes and at least 8 different dungeons to do. The loot system is also gutted since there's virtually nothing special to farm for in NGS, unlike PSO1 that had hundreds of rare items all with their own unique capabilities. NGS's directors are severely lacking a sense of direction and the skillset needed to properly manage an MMORPG, which is why the playerbase is dwindling extremely fast

To be fair, the first version of PSO started with way less than that. Four areas, stopped at Very hard. Weren't that many rares either. But it was a pioneer, no pun intended, so the landscape was very different and it could get away with it for the most part. NGS on the other hand...

I remember this game being the reason why I bought an Xbox during the pandemic lol expecting to relive my childhood nostalgia with PSO on the GameCube, sadly was disappointed

The reason people say there isn't much to do in new gen is not what you say. I work 50~ish hours a week and after a month I got to the point where all I do is login for 30 mins do my dailies and logout (weeklies take like 1-2hrs). The only other thing I can do is farm for a high level fixa gear, which to me is pointless for two reasons. 1. nothing in the game requires it. What I mean is I have a fixa 1 attacks evocoat weapon. A 3% power gain (for fixa 5) is literally irrelevant since I can already kill mobs so quick. There is no content that is challenging enough to make me want to get an upgrade to what I have. 2. The gear will be outdated super fast. As soon as level 35 max hits almost all our gear will go in the bin. With the price of cosmetics atm, its just not worth spending millions on a weapon that will be useless in 3ish months. Because all I have are dailies and weeklies with gear grinding useless, the only thing left is sitting in lobby chatting. I have discord if I want to chat with my friends AND we can play a game at the same time. This is why people are saying there is no content. The gameplay is fun, but there is no reason currently to interact with it.

"Way less tedious inventory management," yes but you also can use shift key to macro-manage it too. NGS is good and all, but after a thousand hours in I've been somewhat burned out. Bouncer will shake things up a bit but the game will feel stale for a long time according to their roadmap.

You have to play the new gen walkthrough then once you get to the main city hub. Go to the teleport gate and look up blocks that will take you to base pso2.
