I think you sir are mistaken, Loveless is arguably the most influential shoe gaze indie album ever recorded to call it less significant than or worse than an Outkast album would suggest you either haven't listened to it or simply didn't understand the importance and originality of Loveless. I will put my sense of tone up against anyone's. I agree that the first digitally recorded music was GOD AWFUL as engineers didnt know quite how to set up for a digital recording and/or record company didn't care/think that there was any need to change engineering for CDs. Most of my early classical CDs are truly horrible to listen to. But this idea of EVERYTHING has to be vinyl or it's shiite is so phoney/trendy it's silly: rich idiots with NO musical skills with their $75K turntables etc etc.(That's NOT Phantogram BTW!!..They ROCK!) And rap. I must agree with Prince about rap: "?" do people want THAT?. Can't say crap without saying rap.
