That is a really nice looking gun there Pharraway, a couple of comments on here saying that the finish from the clear isn't that flat but I think that might be to do with the panels being plastic where the finish isn't quite as good as a metal panel, I could be wrong here though🤔 I do like the finish I get from my WS400 Series2 with the split tip as they always seem to atomise the clear better giving a flatter finish, I was hoping that the X5500RP 1.3CC would be a split tip design but it still lays the clear like glass👌👍John UK

No matter how much a panel is warped because it's plastic, that doesn't make orange peel.

i can see that it struggled a lot on the clear coat. the droplets look big and laying too slow to have a good wet coverage and flow out.

What is your favorites for spraying candys? Ive always been a devilbiss guy myself and have a GTI with 2000 aur cap and also have a Devilbiss plus which is my go to for clear, but i know they are alittle outdated compared to whats avaiable now especially for atomization and fan pattern thanks love your videos man

Test your spray pattern sideways..... Hold there for a few seconds and see where the runs accumulate.... It should be even drips across in middle & decreasing on outwards in a upsidedown U shape ....... If the concentration of runs are of to the sides of dead middle - then your setup needs to be cleaned and tuned......

I get that youre likely a partner involved with the company, pr paid for the reviews, but realistically you couldn't pay me to say thats "perfectly flat" or a "mirror". It kind of looks like the shitty finish youd have to sand and polish from a $60 gun, not a $600 gun. Even for OEM style repair work it it looks like way too much orange peel, for custom work they look worthless

No offence Intended. But, it didn't look flat to me, if anything it looked peely. Base and clear. I expected better from the split tip. Nice looking gun though
