Smoke brings up a good point that Runes that focus on a specific talent ability leaves out spec experimentation. My new question would be with 8 more rune slots to go, and 3-4 options for each, at what point can Blizzard NOT use talent ability modifiers? I mean, that’s a lot of stuff to invent if talent abilities are off limits. Is it ok to say that Rogues can tank but Combat *should* be the spec they use? We do it with Paladins, Warriors, and Druids. Is it wrong?

Guys, you cant kick drain life because Master channeler turns it into an instant cast dot. It's not a bug. The only way to get rid of it is to dispell it .

@1:30:28 - that's incorrect mr. blazzinbob, general chat IS layered. to give updates on lieutenant health percentages in ashenvale general chat will be accurate and useful to the zone effort on your layer. it's a local chat channel. global chat channels like LFG are not layered. also, the anti west thing on horde is more of a meme than anything. until they award more rep for going west, people will prioritize going east. people attend ashenvale primarily for rep gain, not the epic wpvp battles we have as a biproduct. I'm halfway through this episode and never leave comments but felt like i had to so far for this one!

Raid leading is definitely an art. You have to know your group’s skill level and sometimes walking them through the encounter before you see it can save you time later. An extra 30 minutes of prep and vetting players could have saved you hours in BFD. Everyone in Reddit balks at the “gatekeeping” but it’s worth it. I don’t have 5 hours to spend in BFD. Id rather exclude those players and spend 45 minutes in the zone. You don’t have to be sweaty speed runners to be competent at the game.

Also another consideration on people checking gear score. Maybe they don't want to bring a low gear score person in because they don't want them to win everything after showing up with nothing. Food for thought. But good news is we learned our lesson and last 2 runs been around 30 minutes long.

Gear score doesn’t mean much. You can be pre bis with a lower score than a fresh character buying random greens.

For rogue tanking, I know nobody wants it, but I think a re-worked fan of knives could be a solution for initial threat on a group of 4-5 mobs. I would make it so that the upcoming shuriken toss rune changes to fan of knives if the “just a flesh wound” rune is active -or- maybe when blade dance buff is active. Then I would put fan of knives on a 20-30 second cooldown and either: 1. It gives you 1 combo point per enemy damaged by the fan so the tank can get a 4-5 point finisher off right away. 2. Guaranteed offhand poison proc on all targets hit by fan for more initial threat. I like this one less because it would be most effective with instant in the offhand but could have nice utility potential with an AOE crippling/mind numbing and that’s where it gets too clunky with offhand weapon swaps or pvp abuse potential.

I noticed that Bob deff talked less this episode, not even too sure if I love that lol. Also around the 1:22:00 minute mark, you're all talking about gear and mel said "I don't know why but it seems like I get my bis the first runs" and I'm with her on that boat. I don't play often but when I do I feel like I get all my gear within 1 or 2 runs even if there are others that need it, I want to say that comes down to how you are internally. If you're playing the game to just play and have fun and think about other I swear this game just gives to you because youre a nice person. I always go into raids thinking "eh no biggie if I don't get gear I'm just happy to be here and if I do get gear cool" I think that mentality gets you what you want.

It was a different type of episode than last week. Last week our guests kept going on tangents and there wasn't really a structure to it, which I liked as well. This week was more about the Phase 2 prep. I hadn't done the prep at that point so I couldn't really have my normal hot/bad takes lol.

It has nothing to do with being right on the date, it has to do with it is killing the game, they have did nothing but nerf hunters and priests trying to fix wsg and there should have been more nerfs to keep it over 6 weeks. Now either every other phase is going to be much longer or each one is going to be released unfinished
