i like it... but it's expensive... i bought it for 160 € with a few snap ins...then saw that most snap ins can't be tweaked... so another 160 €... then watched a few videos and realized that most of the producer promoting this synth use the premium snapins wich are likely another 200- 400 €... also Multipass...i didn't bought them

Motekk Just the highest PP bundle gets you really far. You don’t really need the others to get great stuff out of PP. If anything, just get disperser when you can.

Wooo! Congratz for soon-to-be 20k subs! Your channel has been with me since the 'day zero' in which I started producing music, and helped immensely! Also, I want to mention the fact that you had time to have a talk and explain me some of my questions when I was lost in the maze of music production! :D The best channel for music producers - as I commented many uploads ago, still true today! Great to see the growth of your channel, and how much effort went into quality of the uploads, which leveled-up to be the highest in the game imho!

Awesome tutorial for a great sounding pad. I don't have Phase Plant, but may try to replicate something like this with Pigments 2, Dune 3, and/or Massive X. What I like about your tutorials like this one is that you talk about the principles and ideas, rather than pure synth settings like so many others do. Keep up the great work, and I think you'll have no problem shooting past the 20K subscriber count and beyond :-)
@VenusTheory4 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it! And for sure, I try to keep things pretty plugin/DAW agnostic so folks can follow along in their plugin or DAW of choice. I think way too many channels focus on the 'here copy me' approach which IMO is just a bit of a waste haha.

Phaseplant is the absolute bollocks Especially after the 2.x update What a monster Really happy they just added a dual delay for simplicity’s sake. The old one was a bit meh without saving some parallel multi tap preset in snapheap. Nice to have one you can just throw on for some quick double delays without having to use snapheap every time. The convolver is great too Really hope they add granular oscillators sometime soon
@VenusTheory2 жыл бұрын
Phaseplant is obnoxiously powerful at this point. Super excited to see what they add next!
@hazmatproduction45622 жыл бұрын
@@VenusTheory took me ages to realise you can unlink the phase of oscillators with that easily missable +/- control next to the phase parameter. Now I discovered that, I’m using it for pads a lot more

Glad the video was helpful! In some cases I start with a blank patch, but for the sake of time it's sometimes easier to just walk through the final patch in more detail so it's not just 10min of recreating something.

@elliotr90954 жыл бұрын
Hi Cameron! I'm relatively new to your channel but I've been inhaling all of your ambience content, you do a fantastic job with it and I've been having such a fun time making increasingly rich atmospheres. I'm wondering if you've messed with Padshop 2 and its spectral oscillator? I've been using Harmor's resynthesis for scrubbing across things like steel drum samples; I'm looking for a sampler/scrub/granular upgrade, and my eyes have set on Padshop 2 and Falcon this November. Do you have any thoughts about how Padshop 2 stands versus the other heavy hitters in the scrub/granular category like Falcon (the only other scrubber I know of), Pigments 2, Rapid?
@VenusTheory4 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear you're enjoying the channel! I haven't messed with the Padshop 2 update but Reason Grain offers a sorta similar feature and it is really cool! If I get my hands on Padshop 2 though I'll definitely try it out! Between all those it's very hard to say as it's pretty apples and oranges. Rapid/Pigments are synths with granular features, Padshop is strictly a granular synth, and Falcon is basically a modular environment. As with every case I'd just suggest testing out the free trials to see what you find fits best in your workflow. Falcon doesn't offer a demo, but if you find any of the prior options limiting in terms of features and such, Falcon would probably be the best bet!

I really wanna get pad sound like this by using simpler / sampler. But in term of voicing ( detune) doesn’t work like this VSt. It would be perfect if you make same sound with it or with pigments. Thanks
@VenusTheory4 жыл бұрын
Yo! For that, you can stack them together and tune the layers in semitones to replicate the chord unison voicing modes. So, for a 5th for example, you'd duplicate the sampler and tune it up +7 semitones.

yes but be careful: Wave Table editing LFO editing is badly handled in Phaseplant. Its just to much of editing and not intuitive. Phaseplant also not capable of midi learn all parameters. Also.. and.. allthough it can sound really good... those lots of tiny windows are a pain and a big time loss.. for me.. and there is an Idea for this.. and how it could be much more accessible.. i hope updates come. Still.. and by far not what i imagine of the Synth of the future... more intelligent and useful updates are the only thing that will help stay in Business. Thanks,!!
