Tried my first ever solo Asylum today. Ghost was super active, even for an Oni (which it was). Turned on two sinks miles away from the room, only gave 2 pieces of evidence, had to guess, got it right, all objectives complete without a death. Was pretty fun, definitely the craziest ghost I've had so far.

Literally got done with a game about an hour ago where I was in the room trying to get a second piece of evidence. Our higher sanity player left without telling us and it immediately started hunting and spawned right on top of me. I was like, revenant! Because the sound of the footsteps was "bang.... BANGBANGBANGBANGBANG" and then I was dead. Lmao got 170 something because of the insurance too. Also answers the question of why some people choose to die Haha Haha Also, like if you know the exact foot step sound effect I am talking about and your PTSD kicked in

So, a friend and I had the bugged temps, where she had cold but not freezing in one room, I had it in another, and the ghost was in a third room. It only got spookier when we figured out it was a Revenant...and when it hunted once before we had found it, I had actually hidden from it *in its room*. o.O In short, thanks for being a huge part of what got me into this game, Insym! Building these hilarious and fun memories with friends (and making more friends along the way) is what makes all the spoops worth it. :)

Is it weird that I prefer bigger maps rather than smaller maps? Like, the small maps scare me so bad, I get so worried I will get stuck and the ghost will eat me.

@timestrik In general bigger maps are better for most ghosts. Revenants are an exception to this though, the last place you want to get a Revenant is in a large map because escaping its line of sight can be harder and thus it can make it easier for it to catch up to you since there are a lot of long corridors and not so many corners, also i heard Oni and Shades can be really annoying on larger maps as well due to Shades being extremely shy and Oni being able to mess with stuff in another room and make you think that you've found the ghost room when it's not...Other than that apparently big maps are great for the most part. As for small maps you should worry about being in a small map if it's a Wraith since it can go through walls and can be a pain to hide or run from in the small maps.

Tense AF, the scariest match I’ve had was with my 2 other friends on Asylum. Very late find on Wraith because we got below average temps in the downstairs hallway but the ghost run was upstairs in the right side hallway, so we wasted a lot of time with nothing. So we were getting hunted before evidence could really start being found, we obviously concluded Freezing but for about an hour we could not even get remotely close to the room safely. Now, I didn’t know this but Wraiths can teleport to you and then start their hunt, which was absolutely heart dropping to me as we were on our way to the room when it did this the first time. The only way we narrowed it down was when I ran into the Ghost room while it was hunting to get fingerprints, and eventually (with the help of discord) we safely concluded that it was a Wraith and not a Banshee because it was not targeting one person. TLDR: Wraith’s when sanity is low enough basically become banshees on steroids.

Honestly, if you found a bone on a map that big you have to receive an achievement and your money multiplier need to be doubled on top of one you have (depending on a difficulty), like if you go prof you'll get 6x multiplier. To clarify - it should work only on highschool sized maps and bigger

The dev did a great job on making the Ghosts all very imposing in their own way without making them too obvious, I imagine it’s pretty tough to add a new ghost type.

Maybe one all about hunting? I had discussed this in a video before (I think it was a dusk Viking video) but one that has this set of unique feats. Someone named it a Draugr: -Strength: Draugrs will hunt for the whole duration of a pursuit uninterrupted, even if someone has been killed. (Meaning more than one person can die in one hunt) -Weakness: Hunts last for a shorter duration than other ghost types. (Say 35-40 seconds compared to 50 in Professional Hunts to balance that, so you and your crew don't insta-lose in the first hunt. XD) And maybe one with a focus on aggression towards cleansing and protecting items like smudge sticks and crucifixes. Like this: -Strength: Ghost is near impervious to Crucifixes and Cleansing. (Smudge Sticks don't calm the ghost down and Crucifixes get its effectiveness shrunk to a 1M radius, opposite to a banshee's fear of them.) -Weakness: a Crucifix will stop hunts, and further prevent them for a very long time. (So if you get the crucifix right on the ghost it will stop and prevent hunts for a longer time than any other ghost, as it's harder to pin point the effect with them. A risk/reward type of ghost)

Something that I love about this game is the ambient "noise" that is constantly playing in the background. It's like generator noise. I don't know if the devs researched the "fear frequency" (look it up it's a real thing) and they tweaked the ambient noise to include that frequency but that would explain why it's so unsettling even though it's just "noise".
