PhD after MTech without GATE in IIT/IISc/IIIT/IIM/NIT | POST GATE COUNSELLING

PhD is one of the many options available to the students who do M. Tech. There are so many institutes and universities in India & abroad from where students can pursue PhD after M Tech. In India the institute of highest reputation having good research facilities is IIT, IIM, IISc, NIT, IIIT etc. If students want to pursue PhD after M Tech then a minimum CGPA is needed along with good research proposal which is prepared on the basis of M Tech thesis. There is no need of GATE score to apply for PhD after M Tech. There will be written test or interview once students are called on the basis of their academic credentials. Written test can be technical or aptitude basis. Normally interview is related to the research field in which student applies.

Sir , no IIT Writes in Brochure regarding Gate for Eligibility Criteria but during Interview & form filling they don't Consider Gate Non Qualified Students even after Mtech. This is a myth that Gate is not required. Don't give false hopes to Students. I applied everywhere this time & got rejected due to no having Gate Score.
