Not the greatest man to have ever lived, but a great man. A real everyman. He's almost fatherly in his manner sometimes in these videos.

It's awesome how this guy was able to get perspective on his life and speak so straightforward about his experience. I was a fan and knew they used to tear it up, but I honestly never thought he would be capable of speaking from his soul and warning others about the destruction that drugs and bad choices can impact oneself. I very impressed. Nice job Phil.

The Mom "part" took this to a confident level. What Phil says comes from his heart, and he has a lot of emotions as he says himself. Respect

After seeing this series of clips in its entirety, I have come to the conclusion that we can all benefit from staying true to our will. The man's got a mighty good point.

Phil is like a run model, he did bad things with his life, mind and body, "he learned from this mistake", he rose from the bottom, he's alive again, so smart, so inteligent, he sucks you in when he's talking, a true living legend. Phil, my respect, you've been my favorite musician for all time, thank you for sharing your experiences in life and teach us how to be a good person, it doesnt matter if you made mistakes in your life. Peace Out Phil \m/

At first I was wondering if he could pull off a public speech, but it dawned on me he is a natural for speaking in front of big crowds.

I did that primarily for continuity reasons - to make it easier to follow along - when I cut the full interview into smaller clips for uploading, but good call. Cheers.

mamas boy is someone who has to have there mother do EVERYTHING for u.a grown man whos a boy inside that can be a man.that needs his mother to hold his hand threw life.phil is none of those things.but a human being that has demons and mistakes just like EVERYONE!!only thing is he knew he wasnt superman and knew he needed help and overcame his thick headedness and accepted help to fix his life.realized that family is the only thing that will be there threw thick n thin.not girlfriends.friends.ect

I 'm not dumb because I listen to asking alexandria and BMTH? I can even for myself say that I'm smart. I quitted drugs for myself, I stopped with that shit cause the worst thing in the world... Is too see your family suffering by it. I am not that old now, all this shit happend in early age for me. I'm not dumb cuz I listen to metalcore

Drinking and smoking like there is not a second more in your life, shooting Heroin 12 14 bags a day, you tell me if you can keep up with 100% of your mental capacities... the speech is one of the first things you notice, but he can still give you a life lesson, and if you didnt even listen of what he's trying to tell you, dude/girl, im sorry to tell you must me stupid.
