Reminds me of myself, I just stopped giving a shit after people (my ex and current wife) constantly push(ed) shit on me. First it was quitting weed, then booze, then cig's, then going to church, then doing therapy after I got pushed to the edge, then meds, then having to go to a treatment center for a week because I wasn't perfect, repeat, etc. If I want to drink some beers and smoke a joint that is my choice and I'm not harming anyone. Just because people can't handle the fact that you can control your shit and they can't doesn't mean they have the right to force you into a box. Just because so-and-so or whatever professional or co-worker doesn't let their husband have any vices doesn't mean that is a universal truth. And you don't owe a damn answer to anyone or anything for what ever they think of you did or anything you did or did not do. 🤨🤗 Myself I start to put someone in there place real quick when I get the chance. Only to let them know they are to weak to confront me to my face. It's always, no you can't afford to bust my opinion like that because I ll just make up another lie to cover this one. Strange how people avoid you when they cant tell you the truth.When the truth sounds better. 😂 I read between the lines so good I amaze myself. 🧐 And the easiest part is in how words are said. Hey walk this way. Now what you say. You talk this way to admit something in a different form and tell on your self at the same time. 🤣Oh now that you straightened up. It is such a simple song, the lyrics and instruments. But very powerful. If you think about the lyrics and angry. People get angry because they do care. Otherwise there would be no angry. So, this song is profound in the idea that it shows the duality of betrayal and angry, but also wanting to ignore it. Wishing that it never existed.

This song helped me to finally come to terms with the fact that my dad may have loved me, but he hardly ever showed it. For every kind word he had for me there were a thousand critical statements and comments like " that boy gets dumber every day". I realized that the opposite of love is not hate, but just "not caring anymore". If you hate someone, you still care what they think about you and you let them rent space in your head and your heart. I retired and left the state and never looked back. No goodbyes needed, just glad to be gone and at peace. Parents remember this: words have power! speak blessings over your children!

Plus from what I have heard he was straight as an arrow, no drugs or alcohol I think. He was influenced by his heart. God, I wish I had his voice. A real stand-up guy in my book. I think we are supposed to call him Sir Phil Collins.
@qt63278 жыл бұрын
He had admitted in an interview that he did have an alcohol problem back in the 80's and then again in some recent years after he couldn't drum anymore. Regarding the 80's he said that he felt bad about drinking so much b/c he felt that he influenced his best friend Eric Clapton who also had an alcohol problem. I agree that Phil is a stand-up guy! He always wore his heart on his sleeve, and that's why alot of his songs are so good b/c they come from real emotion! He had talked about his first divorce and how it was particularly painful for him to get through and that some of his songs came from that experience.
