My beloved granny died on 1st December, my favourite day of the year and we cremated her in January.. this is the song she chose for the end of the service when we could all go up and place a kiss on her coffin . Apart from hearing it on the radio once since , which was like a punch to my stomach , its taken me a while to come and visit .. it still brings tears to me eyes , and ache in my heart that will never leave and a wee smile on my face at why she chose this song . 💔💔💔

No disrespect intended, Am I reading this correct? She left Earth on Dec 1and was cremated in Jan. ? When my grandma left i couldn't get back to Wi. till a week later. I wanted to see her. I asked the morticiation if I could. He went downstairs to the holding place (coolers) when he came back up he said you probably don't want to have that for a last visual memory of her. I'm not sure what i'm really asking. He was a childhood friend so i trusted his judgement. Did you see her before the final act? I hate to think he lied to me. I lived in Ca. and it had been a few years since i last saw her. I appologize if this stirred some bad thoughts. I'm getting up there in age and don't use the best judgement sometimes.

Let’s be clear, it was Tony’s band. Always was, always will be. Phil has confirmed as much. That’s why Phil did his solo stuff, Genesis proper was 75% Tony Banks songs with a little help from his friends. Even back with Peter, Tony wrote the majority of the instrumental music.
@erickleefeld4883
@erickleefeld4883 Жыл бұрын
@@EricBBarker Yeah, one of the reasons Steve left was that he felt crowded out by Tony! Honestly, though, this process was simply inevitable in a single band that had five massively creative people, because there’s only so much space on a single album. How many such people can you have in a band at once, and be sustainable? Well, I’d posit “…And Then There Were Three…” as the answer.

People hated this guy and yet his songs are more relevant today than back then. But seriously, Phil doesn't deserve the hate he had back then. Love this guy! Edit as of 1/7/25: Well, sources can be weird but my point still stands on how the critics still couldn't understand Phil. Either way, he's still good. Plus, don't bother with the replies here, people. This was written years ago and my thoughts have somewhat changed and honestly it's not worth jumping down here with a flame war and I don't wanna know. It ain't worth the mental stress that its best to move on.

When he wasn't singing or interacting with the audience he just looked absolutely exhausted and unwell. I enjoyed the night more than I was expecting and they played some interesting and surprising things, so I don't regret it at all.

Maybe we’ll see this one day playing in one of the other trailers because I feel it really fits the vibe of the game. I don’t know if the person that came with this leak really lied or not, we will never know. Maybe the trailer was planned earlier and had this song or other and they did some late changes.

This song is so emotionally brilliant actually. Sad though, there are sad songs but this one is different.

This encapsulates the feeling of being in a toxic relationship, and the self consciousness that comes with it. He's not unaware of the toxicity, but he doesn't want to leave her anyway

It's acceptance of the sadness, rather than just expressing being sad. Then everyone knows it was the best choice to simply leave in the end. Because, it's always the same. It's just a shame, that's all.

Even if that "leaker" on reddit was lying or incorrect, you gotta admit this song would absolutely work with their trailer. The way he described his post definitely sounds like how Rockstar would make their trailer. He perfectly captured Rockstar's presentation with only words.

I don’t think they’ll go with a track like this. They’ll pick something more relaxing and soothing for the ears. The trailer will be showing the more eye catching and gorgeous locations of the new map with little to no deep story, gameplay or narrative information. Think the beach with the open ocean with the clear crystal blue water with the rays of sunshine on screen. Think the swampy wetlands with wildlife and other biomes. Think the skyline of Vice City and other cities. Maybe they’ll end the trailer with the protagonists fleeing from the police for their latest robbery. This first trailer will introduce the game to the audience. Think of how they did RDR2 and GTA V.

What the hell are you on about? This is a classic, and is identified as such; written by legends of rock. People need to learn what 'underrated' means...

Cory Norell It is an underrated song when it comes to Genesis. Most people are not gonna think of this song right off when they think of Genesis and IMO they should.

My dad is a huge fan of yours. He was listening to your music since he was around of my age. Edit: I'm also a fan now. I've been focusing on kpop and 80s pop but now I get to listen to rock.
