I didn’t really learn from anywhere, I just would sing to myself while playing guitar. I grew up in the church so I was always around music. I just found singers I liked and tried to emulate how they sang, but then eventually developed my own style. I’m not in Illinois but I highly recommend the KZbin channel Throga by Richard Fink
