The Irish Boy moment was very touching, great interview this. First moment Mark played this song live anyway.

Phil Cunningham is the greatest - it's so wonderful to see how well they relate to and respect each other.

Well I must say I think this is a wonderful interview. It's got character and Mark is quite a philosophical guy. The song he wrote for his uncle Freddie, Piper to the end and the story behind it is quite something. Both guys are phenomenal with some talking and playing in this quiet video. A good upload that I wouldn't have seen without you youtube

One of the greatest guitarists to date, and yet he always seems to look like he's the supporting instrument, which is what makes him so special.

"So far from the Clyde" :While I understand its tough to watch a beautiful ship being destroyed by people who are not privileged enough to understand its beauty and engineering, I do some times think about all the different cultures/ Kingdoms that were totally decimated by outrageous british taxation. I dont know, its a beautiful song, but sure stirs up some disgust and negativity: none towards MK though. Some of my ancestors worked for the East India company and helped the Kingdom during WW1 and after in various capacities, I just didnt like the depiction of India as a country with antlike men destroying a rotten ship that no one cared about anyway.

Pranav Sridhar I wouldn’t dwell on that comment too much. It’s not a dig at your fellow Countryman but more angst spent at the death of British manufacturing & craftamanship which unfortunately is well long gone.

@@Molnboman Thank you, I appreciate your thoughtful comment. A country is only as strong as its manufacturing base, you are quite right.
