Another weird song. Auto Da Fe was a band that Lynott was closely associated with during the mid 1980s as a producer and sometimes guest musician. The difference is that Auto Da Fe is soft rock (at best). This isn't really up my alley, but again, this is pretty hard to find and post-worthy. Lynott has a backup vocal in the song, and the song itself isn't THAT bad. Enjoy!

God I love this ❤. I remember Auto Da Fé so well. One of those great bands that came out of Dublin in the best decade of my life. Hearing Phillo's voice gives me goosebumps. Thanks so much for posting.

Whilst taking a walk down memory lane came across this - I saw Auto Da Fe at a small, intimate venue in Victoria, London in 1983 with Phil Lynott guesting after being at a loose end one night and a friend got last minute tickets. I recall being blown away by them at the time and particularly liking their cover of 'Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart'. Have to say that Phil's backing vocals here sent chills down my spine and actually choked me up somewhat .... a much missed legend, sleep well!

Robbie Brennan & Trevor Knight from Auto Da Fe toured with Phil on his SOLO IN IRELAND TOUR 82. Just recently re-framed the signed promo poster from one of the shows.

The Atrix ... Hummmm. Theres a 12" back in my parents house circa 1980. Compilation of Dublin bands with sleeve-notes by Dave Fanning. Can't for the life of me rem the track The Atrix played on it ("Reptile ?"). I'll look it up next time I'm home...

If I knew more I would have posted it in the description. Someone else probably knows more about it than me. I just know it was live, it was in 1983, and it was with Auto De Fe.

Thanks for posting this, I have been trying to find this song for years, used to have a video of this in the 80's which featured Phil Lynott.

This sounds like a "live" version to me. Anyone have the original? It is much more synth, from what I can recall 25+ years ago! Jesus, I'm getting on!!!

@caoighim1960 Mine is up in the attic somewhere, with all the other vinyl. I did get a CD copy of a session recording they did for BBC one time, with Phil Lynott on this track.
