Fantastic.. thanks so much.. you know whenever ppl who really knew him talk about him.. they all say how shy and quiet he was.. and how he used to call his 'Johnny' persona 'his act'.. you can really see it here.. rushing through his poetic verse and being quite introverted on his own.. but still his charisma shone through.. and what a voice... THE HEART AND SOUL OF THIN LIZZY.. LEGEND!.. for me, no Lynott, no Lizzy....

Fantastic to see this - I remember seeing a few programmes in RTE's "Me And My Music" series in the mid 70s but never caught this one - in fact I didn't know until I came across this that he'd done one - many thanks for uploading - you've made an old Thin Lizzy fan very happy!

That was bloody awesome. Cried a little on the way home from work thinking about the terrible tragedy that befell you, brother. RIP.

terrific i never seen this before, i have or thought i had everything Phil ever done. i had the pleasure of meeting the band in 1975 here in Yeovil in the bar before there gig and after in there dressing room. i was lucky to see them live 4 times memories that will live forever.

I was at Hemel Hempstead pavilion october 76 watching this band open up with Jailbreak blew me away

I was there too, in the balcony, front row. Police lights flashing and smoke going off as they hit the first chord of Jailbreak. One of the best gigs I’ve ever been to. I think someone passed Phil a Manchester United scarf part way through the gig and he draped it over his microphone. Best live band ever.

Did you know Phil? Appreciate your comment on my site. I met Phil years ago and he did a backing track on a song or two we did. He was great! I'm in Florida and I think one of his other bandmates was from just North of me Scott? I think....... Good fellas the lot!
