I loved Hank Senior's music, since I was a little girl, and I'm 53 now. I named my son Luke. Hank III, looks and sounds just like his grandpa, he's almost like his ghost. Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤❤❤

I found one of his albums in a thrift store while back, it was hid behind a small piece of plywood that the rest of the albums was stacked on, I think someone hid it, but I found it. The album has Hank and Audrey singing together, only paid .25 cents for it. Me and the woman I was seeing took it so her dad could see it, he was about 80 yrs old. We played it for him on a old record player, he cried like a baby, especially when Hank sang "I dreamed about mama last night".

I saw the museum about six years ago. I was there when the doors opened. And I got to meet this nice lady. She basically gave me a personal tour. She answered all my questions. I thanked her and I was getting ready to leave. And she asked have you seen the statue and the grave site. I said no. I didn't know about any of these things. Well she said you caint go home without seeing the statue and the grave site. She gave me a map of points of interest around Montgomery. For me it very interesting. And I enjoyed the visit. And recommend the museum if your interested in Hank Williams.

I visited it & Hanks grave some years ago. Knowing I was a fan, my wife took me there for our anniversary. I met William "Lum" York there. He was the bass player in "The Drifting Cowboys".Mr. York signed an old concert poster I had with a picture of Hank & the Drifting Cowboys. He said he'd come up from Baton Rough to see friends & visit the museum. A few years later I read in "Rolling Stone" that he'd passed away. I played guitar, sang, & got drunk at Hanks grave. I can't remember ever being so happy and so sad at the same time. I thank these people for keeping the memory of Hank alive.roballen2

I'm a HUGE Hank fan. I've been to see the Museum several times... One thing I always wondered about the Cadillac, though... I wonder why Hank chose the Series 62 instead of the new Eldorado? Maybe they weren't available yet? The really kool thing about that Series 62, though... Hank must have custom-ordered it with the Fleetwood hash marks, spotlights and Continental spare... He was stylin'!

I heard that Hank had spina bifna which was never diagnosed until his death. The pain from the condition started off on drugs
@kevinshayne95594 жыл бұрын
He did have spina bifida. He suffered with it most of his life. That's why he was prescribed chloral hydrate, that and alcohol was a deadly combination. Drs at the time didn't know that and that combination killed him.

Be sure to visit Chris' Hot Dog Stand (opened in 1917, still in its original location on Dexter Ave. in Montgomery, and still owned and operated by the same family). It's just a short walk from the Hank Williams Museum to Chris', where Hank wrote his hit song,"Hey Good Looking', What ya got cookin'?" You see, this was this pretty waitress working there, and........, Well, you can guess the rest!.... It's part of the experience!

I went into a bar and was wanting just a Miller lite, instead of micro beers,wine or bullshit mixed drinks. some band on stage played 6 hip hop tunes, 3 grunge song ( I didn't mind grunge when I was doing a lot of heroin) and closed their show with shitty version of Johnny Cash's cover of a Bob Dylan song.

CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN THE TAIL LIGHT STICKING UP IN THE AIR??
@retrbe5 жыл бұрын
DO WHAT
@rogerlee39415 жыл бұрын
The tail light lifts up to give you access to the fuel cap.
@sandrawinkler89655 жыл бұрын
Think about it, that tail light was designed to be an emergency microphone, in case he had a sudden urge, he would simply pull off to the side of the road, get his guitar out, and sing into his tail light/ microphone, and the music would play through his radio. I don't know who the joker was, trying to tell you that is where you put the gas in. Don't you believe a word of it, that tail light was his emergency microphone. ........gas cap hidden in the tail light, that is just too funny!
