Phil Mickelson's 2013 Scottish Open Win | Classic Round Highlights

Let's take a trip down memory lane and re-live Mickelson's final day triumph over Branden Grace in 2013.
Needing just a par five at the last to secure victory in regulation play, the American uncharacteristically took three from the edge of the green.
That meant extra holes with South African Grace, who was already in the clubhouse on 17 under at that stage.
But on the first trip back down the 18th, Mickelson produced a stunning wedge to within a few inches of the cup and Grace could not match his birdie.

Those two 3-woods shots on 17 at the Open Championship in 2013 were as you pointed out two of the greatest shots ever especially with what was at stake for Phil. Lefty's epic win at the Open Championship giving him those very rare three of the four major titles was just so incredible and unexpected. But in some ways his sixth major championship the 2021 PGA is just as epic if not more so because Phil did it at age 50. Winning major titles has been a real challenge for Phil Mickelson but his fifth and sixth major titles were all time epic.

My uncle in Charlotte, NC is neighbors with Jeff Gordon... Jeff and Phil are friends... My uncle introduced me to Jeff while Phil was in town (2010)... I met both Phil and Jeff the same day. I got a putting lesson from Phil in the living room of Jeff’s house... Therefore, that makes me cool, right? I think so...

I was doing some lumbung work at Alotion Golf Club in Little Rock, AR. When the members reserve the club the get it all to themselves. As I was in one of the three cottages in walks Phil, and proceeds to ask about the problem and showed interest, most people do even if they don't understand it. But when I finished up he was just outside and talked to me for thirty minutes about absolutely nothing. Genuinely nice guy.
