"47. He was a fucking kid. Me, I'm an old man...I'd like to do it over, boy lemme tell ya." This is such a wonderfully vulnerable moment for Phil. Underneath all that violent machismo and thuggish pride is a sad, bitter old man filled with regret. The best years of his life are gone and he gave it all up to protect a family that never really cared about him.

@pIayingwithmahwii Жыл бұрын
honestly i'm surprised, that's kinda weird. by this point phil has less than no respect for johnny sack, from crying at the wedding to breaking of the oath of omerta--which by the way is probably the absolute worst thing a man could do in phil's eyes, cause he personally spent 20 years in the can Because he was loyal to that oath and didn't rat. and now phil sees that one of the guys he sacrificed 20 years of his own life to save won't return the favor? he sees that none of the guys he saved by taking the 20 years would do the same for him if it came down to it. i mean that'd piss me off like mad too given all that i see no reason why Phil'd keep the photo of john up. like yeah phil is huge on mafia tradition and tradition in general, and the photos on the mantle seem to be a tradition of the lupertazzi family--but still, you would think johnny ratting would make him dead to them. i mean, they'd want him killed if he hadn't died first. i don't know how membership in the mafia works, but it's safe to say that if they kill you for breaking the oath of omerta you're no longer a member, right?

So in the end, Phil wasn’t pissed about him doing 20 years in the can. He was mad about his last name being named after a ballet uniform

I know Tony is the main guy but on my rewatches I always see the show as "The Lupertazzis" and Phil is the main character to me!

When that music hits …. You know that the momentum is shifting & shits about to go down !

I know people often recall this scene at the end for the exchange between Chris and Tony at the church - but for me, Phil's comment about 'No more Butchie. No more of this!' It sets the tone perfectly for what is to come: Phil's going after Tony & Co, and blood will be spilled!!

Fact : Phil Leotardo was actually sort of a pioneer in the field of music. Today we call that genre house music.

This scene always stuck out to me after watching the series all the way through. I don’t think there’s a more stylistic end to an episode in the whole series.

He had a point, Phil got punked at every turn on the show. Was time for some revenge.

When they show the pictures of Carmine, Billy, and Johnny Sacs…it meant Phil wasn’t compromising anymore like they would of. They would of kept the peace, but Phil wanted to do it his way.
