5 years later and the Holy Ghost is still in this sermon. I loved it. He cracked me up at the end when he said "amen......I'm done." God bless, Chad

THE FIRST BAPTISIM WAS THE NOAH AND THE FLOOD. 1 PETER 3:21 (that I know of). The 2nd was the Isarelites in the Red Sea and the thrid was Joshua going through the Jordan on Dry Ground. Oh, one before that was the baptisim in tabernacle that the presist did before going into the Holy place... Baptisim in water was pre shadowed by God before John the Baptist and Yes, it's always for the forgivness of sins, just like Phill preaches.

He's a quaint and folksy guy with a certain charm to him- but so many of his "arguments" are mind numbingly bizarre or fallacy-ridden. The fact that Pope Gregory invented a calendar based on when he thought Jesus was born is NOT a valid argument for the existence of a Biblical Jesus or God. Neither is the fact that we will die. It seemed like those two arguments were the only positivist ones he made for God, and he acted as if they were infallible. He has a tendency to strawman the life out of all non-Christian positions as well. Jesus is a prophet in Islam, so he can, infact "be found among them." Not all atheists (or even a significant amount of them) are moral nihilists, not all atheists (or even most of them) crave eternal life to the point of cryogenic neurosis. He misses all of the positive and redemptive points of Christianity, and just uses it as a wedge to play divisive identity politics with.

Any chance you'd be interested in skyping sometime in the future? Like a long form discussion on Phil Robertson and related subjects? I'm almost universally with you. His arguments don't stand up to any rudimental level of scrutiny (common within vast majority of theist arguments) yet he is folksy and strangely alluring to watch. I struggle to think of anything more tedious than religious sermons. Yet I've seen virtually all his content on KZbin - many multiple times - and actually yearn for more! He's a powerful enigma!
