Well, they should look in their own back yard first, because each Protestant acts as his or her own pope. There are millions of "popes" in Protestantism, and all of them are running around claiming that their personal opinion regarding the interpretation of Scripture is the truth. Are there really millions of truths? I thought Holy Scripture said there was only one truth. I disagree on the death part. My brother was not a good person (I.e. drugs, gangs and prostitution). Long story short he went into cardiac arrest, came back. He was in a coma for a couple of months, went to rehab and learned to walk and breath on his own. 5 months later he came home. Upon waking up, the first thing he mouthed and wrote was Bible. I’ve never seen anyone hold so tightly to the Bible. When he was able to speak, he said he went to hell. Sometimes, God gives us a 2nd chance not only to help us but to help others. He did prison ministry for awhile until he couldn’t. He has been left with some physical issues but he worships God, spreads the gospel and, hopefully, has brought others to Christ.

And not agreeing with how the current Pope manages the church and other Christians disagreeing doesn't mean it's anti-Catholic hate. Muslims agree that Jesus existed, that he was a great prophet, He ascended to heaven but the differences make....all the difference, you wouldn't say to the Muslim go on out and talk about Jesus and only Jesus because they are not going to do that. They will deny He is the Son of God and that He died on the cross. Sooner or later that emissary is going to say Jesus a few times then teach you should pray to Mary and other dead people. And ignore what the Bible says to do. Those differences are leading to sin. He called those sinful differences, "semantics." Sin is NOT a semantic. Romans 16:17-18 17. I agree that we need to keep the GOAL as JESUS! SOMETIMES Catholics chase heaven and get involved with the sacraments! I found by doing this, my knowledge of scripture suffered! As I get older, my desire for scripture and getting to know Jesus more deeply has become stronger! Well said. I don't think it's any coincidence that Phil and his family were fishermen back in the day and have become fishermen for Jesus. I don't let it bother me, but some of these folks will make you believe that Jesus can forgive any sins except for being raised Catholic. I too have learned a lot from these gentlemen. The Pope also fulfilled Jesus's prophecy in the N.T. by saying He came in his own name! Jesus said that He was rejected by his people , but that they would receive one that came in his own name!! He also says that Jesus failed in his earthly mission!! This is downright blasphemy! Just google the Popes Audience Hall at the Vatican! It is the shape of a serpents head! The pope has an upside down cross on the back of his Papal Throne! A Satanic Symbol! A Demonic sculpture is directly behind his chair that has hundreds of flying demons and a twisted sculpture of Jesus that looks sickly and anorexic! His head appears to look like a snake! Pure blasphemy!Revelation totally explains that the woman that rides the beast is arrayed in purple and red and pearls and precious stones! They are the only church system that dresses in such a manner, the cardinals in scarlett velvet and the bishops in purple velvet! All the reformers like Luther, Calvin, John Hus, John Wesley identified the papal system as the beast system in the book of Rev.! I am a cradle Catholic and am active in my faith. Not only do I attend mass but I also enjoy going with my wife every week to the non-denominational church she is a member of. In fact I have decided to become a member as well. I have some issues with catholicism but am not turning my back on it. I just plain want to be all in with my faith. Phil as a Catholic, not stanch but born and raised. I have to say I have never ever heard of someone coming from the Vatican as an emissary of the Pope. But, if he came and showed that we as Catholics believe just as you do, then he spoke the truth. One of the things we pray in Mass in "We believe in one holy catholic and apostolical Church " (important lower case ) Saying One we are all one in Christ. I have been studying this for a little while even thou I was born and raised, went to all the CCD classes, joined the choir, got married in the church went on to teach CCD. I lost my Husband a little over 10 years ago and I ranted and raved at our Father. He was very patient with me. (to fill in 2 grown handicapped children 2000 miles from any family) Until I picked up drinking as a vice to just cope with each day. One night I was ranting at my Father God and asking why why... No answer to why BUT He said to me with all the love of a Father "Rose you need to call someone now or you will be gone in a few days." Love, forgiveness, and time is what he gave me and then told me I needed to call for help. This is where I learned "God is Good All the time. "

After hearing Jase talk about church’s saying what they believe, I had to go see if my church’s website said that. It did, and I am very pleased with what it said... We believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, written by God through men. We believe that Jesus Christ is the very Son of God and that it is only through faith in His death, burial and resurrection that a person is saved, that is, forgiven of their sin and receives the free gift of eternal life.

I think it's good to meet with any person who "loves Jesus," as long as it's the Jesus we know from the Word. I have a Mormon friend, who I believe loves the Mormon Jesus, however, that Jesus is much different. At one point, he just didn't listen to scripture, in its proper context, because it didn't line up with "their Jesus." Anyway, I think you get my point.
