As a natural resources police officer, I worked through and during every easy coast hurricane and severe storm, and blizzard for 30 years (1984-2014) in boats of all kinds on the Chesapeake Bay and rivers, flooded roads and towns. You do what you need to. God always brought me through. But now it's looks like the days of Lot, glad I'm retired and can focus on spreading God's word. Glad y'all made it out safe.

I live and grew up in the Houston, TX area, but would often visit kin folk in East Texas and Shreveport, LA, and Phil's podcast + Duck Commander remind me of when I was a kid listening to the "adults talk". ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE Yes Robertson Co is just north of Davidson Co (Nashville) and borders the KY state line. I live outside of Portland TN. Part of Portland is in Robertson County and part is in Sumner County. I am a 59 year old mama and grandma and my husband is 72. We are God fearing country folk. I love your podcast. I’ve been listening for over a year and am going back and watching from the beginning. What I love most is hearing and seeing someone who is country like we are discussing the Bible. We are big hunters and fishermen (and women) in our family so I enjoy hearing about that too. I have been praying for Miss Kay and hope she is doing better. I cook from scratch--good country southern food like she does. Before I became disabled (due to spinal and nerve damage) I loved to garden, can and preserve food. I would love to have someone like Miss Kay in my life to spend time with cooking and talking about God and family. I do r have anyone like that. I’m too old and boring I guess lol. I’m also praying for Lisa with her cancer diagnosis. One time I heard Phil talk about how most women didn’t know how to cook an old fashioned egg custard pie…. I do lol. My parents were 51 when they adopted me at 2 months old so I learned from my mama and aunts how to cook and can all kinds of food. Keep up the great work! I know I’ll never get to meet your family here on earth but I’ll maybe meet y’all in heaven one day. Your family is an inspiration. God bless you all.

Man! I love Jase saying that when the neighbors were all shook up & said, "We're thinking about moving." Jase said, Well it's all over now! We survived it! Marcus Luttrell tells almost the exact same story about when he went through SEAL Training Hell Week & at the end, his commanding officer asked him How you making it Bud & Marcus said That was the worst thing I've ever been through, I'm not sure HOW I'm doing! His commanding officer said, "Well Hell Bud, it's all over now! You survived!" and those words gave Marcus a whole new spark!!

I’ve lived through a hurricane or two here in NC. I’ve worked disaster relief/ recovery with NC Baptist Men. A good tip for the freezers that have been sitting without power: rub your upper lip with vapor rub. That will keep you from gagging when cleaning it out. Also be careful of bees at the root balls of fallen trees.

Mr. Phil the wildfires were not publicized as much due to not being as many people living in those areas. People used to do controlled burns and made sure there was not alot of burning tinder close to their homes, barns, etc. Now people live right up on top of each other and when one house burns, it sets the next on fire. It is a whole different world.

Israel was waiting for Jesus to come like a Lion as in the prophecy, (which is at the end of times)but there is also a prophecy where He comes as a Lamb.(which is how he came in the Gospels) That is one reason they did not recognize what was happening.

Mary of Bethany understood what Judas and the other disciples failed to acknowledge and understand. She had been listening our Lord and Savior, truly listening, and knew that Jesus was going to die very shortly. Mary loved Jesus with the power of adoration and innocence. It is quite possible that this bottle of valuable nard was her inheritance, and yet because of her sweet love for Jesus, she willingly used it to annoint Jesus for his death. It is also probable that this pure nard, which is a potent and long lasting fragrance, was still with Jesus, mingled with his sweat and blood, during the beatings and crucifiction.

No matter how many times Jesus told His disciples His life, and their King, was about to end in sacrifice, it remained beyond their comprehension. However, [Mary’s] demonstration of sacrificial worship preparing Him for death with expensive anointing oil proves she, being a mere and lowly woman, did get it. He IS the King and He IS worthy! But not only that, SHE is worthy of His sacrifice.

Jesus rode in on a donkey to fulfill scripture. ".Fear not, daughter of Zion, behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt."-Zech.9:9. Most kings would ride into a city on a horse, unless they were coming in peace. Then they would ride in on a donkey. Jesus came in peace the first time, to die for our sins and rise from the dead. The next time He comes it will be on a white horse." And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war.His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself. And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called the WORD of GOD. And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations, and He shall rule them with a rod of iron; and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."-Rev.19: 11-16.
