24:30 We found that the split was 80/20 ActiBlizzK/PlayStation during the FTC trial. We know that they redid the deal specifically for CoD with Ryan guaranteing CoD for 10 years but not all ActiBlizzK games. This is one of the big reasons many of us are assuming he was fired, because he was offered a much better deal initially and turned it down. Im running under the expectation that its a 70/30 split now but would be happy to be wrong.

01:04:30 The Indiana Jones announcement hurt them and they noticed. I don't know about them slowing down, but they are definitely going to go another way when making those announcements. My hope is they snub anything to do with Keighly from here on. I think the big issue, that no one seems to talk about, is developer pay structure. Bethesda, ActiblizzK, etc... all of the larger Devs typically have some type of revenue sharing for employee bonuses. This is why Pete Hines goes so hard that he prolapses is anus when trying to get a game out the door. I think this is why there was a harder shift on going everywhere. That's just my theory crafting. Until the pay structure is updated to account for that (and it's going to happen) I don't see them slowing things down, especially while the FTC is basically looking for a fight (and yes, I am pro FTC). This only helps their case for the next purchase.

Hey Durt, as far as the Indiana Jones game Microsoft doesn't own the IP. So I bet it was Lucas film/ Disney who decided & wanted to put their IP on the PS5. Lucas film/Disney wanna make as much money as possible from their game. So I expect Blade should come out for the PS5 as well. Now I don't want it to but it's a business and all companies are out to make money.

Nah putting Indiana Jones on PS5 was entirely a Microsoft decision, specifically from Satya and the bean counters like Any Hood. Disney already said that they were fine with Indiana Jones being an Xbox exclusive and not coming to PS5 because they believed that PC and Xbox were a sizeable enough part of the gaming market. They also said that when it comes to Blade, it was up to Bethesda and Microsoft to decide if the game will be Xbox exclusive, not them. If Disney actually forced MS to put Indy on PS5, they would have also forced Sony to put Spiderman on Xbox and PC day-one and Nintendo to put Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 on all platforms, but ofc they didn't. Now maybe Disney actually forced MS to announce the Indiana Jones PS5 port before the game even releases on Xbox. Maybe they were like "hey if you're gonna put the game on PS5, you cannot postpone the announcement." That is the only reason I can think as to why MS announced the Indy PS5 port in such a dumb manner, it's possible that that was up to Disney.

@@1969Makaveli Don't know why my comment was erased, but to make the point very clear. Just because a property is licensed doesn't guarantee multiplatform development. Spider-Man is exclusive to Playstation at the moment. Sony only owns the film rights. Disney/Marvel own all other rights including video game rights. This means Disney/Marvel have final say in that scenario as well. The evidence points toward a Msft decision to go timed exclusive concerning Indiana Jones.

@@1969Makaveli Bruh, Disney owns the Indiana Jones ip as well as Blade, Spider-Man, and etc. The point is just because it's licensed doesn't necessarily mean it's locked in for a multiplatform release. It depends on how the deal is negotiated. Blade could be multiplat, or it could be exclusive. Only time will tell. Your statement about Indiana Jones is irrelevant considering Marvel owns the Spider-Man rights, and it is exclusive to Sony as well as Wolverine. Phil even said he asked Machine Games what they wanted to do, and they said multiplatform. I believe this indicates how Msft is moving with their greater strategy.

Not only did my 360 rrod right after RDR launched, but fedex lost it. It took almost 3 weeks to get a new one. I had the ending spoiled. Had issues logging into my OG xbox live account and had to start a new one. But I did get year of free xbox live. 😂

All the people theory crafting on the console differences and what should have been are not factoring in COST. It's just that simple. I don't remember where but early on it was speculated that the Series S lost more money per console than the Series S just based on silicone costs alone. Now we are adding in more (expensive) memory to the mix. XBox gambled on the mass market price, cloud, and Dev's and lost.

I understand why XSS gets critique. But here's an example: My best buddy didn't game for years, he was always a Playstation guy before and got an Xbox series S cause it was cheaper, got gamepass and everything and was super happy and enthusiastic with that. Having XSS on 49% of the total sales (at least in US) shows that the lower price is a major factor on a big audience's choice. Me personally, i have the XSX and i will choose the best hardware in a next generation (not a mid-gen refresh though). However i expect a big increase sales for the S when the GTA VI comes out. But from the rumours if they are valid, they are probably going to release a handheld/hybrid and a more powerful console
