Phil Vassar is such an underrated singer. His writing credits overshadow his vocal talents. I mean he's written songs for Kenny Rogers (It's a beautiful life), Alan Jackson (Right on the money), Collin Raye (Little Red Rodeo), Jo Dee Messina (Bye Bye, and I'm Alright), and Tim McGraw (For a little while). I guess you can say he's carved quite the niche for himself in the hearts of country music fans.

Phil Vassar is one of the best. We saw him a few years back at Infinity in Norfolk, Connecticut and it was one of the best performances we have ever been to. We have seen many other top acts and Phil Vassar is up near the top. He is a great one. Great songs, great voice, great energy and funny. A great performer. I love his songs. I just listened to "Last Day of My Life." He writes beautiful, moving, engaging songs. I don''t think he has an equal in country.

Phil is from here in Lynchburg Virginia, and back in the 80s his local band here I got to do sound for a couple of times and he even Sang in our church back then...and finally got to see him in concert about two years ago and he's great
