Simplified chords for the intro/turnarounds: 000200 990700 770600 000200 440200 550400 Verses: 000200 550400 990700 770600 550400 Have fun! You can use these and pretty much play the whole song. You also don't have to tune it half a step down if you're okay singing a half step higher. Sounds just as good.

Haha, heard this song for the first time the other day and thought, "eh, what the heck, I have an afternoon. Let's learn this song." Watched this video and now my brain and hands hurt. Anyone else's hand dying after the Bm reach? But thank you, Phil! We love your solid songwriting and your heart of helpfulness and humility to put out instructional videos. The guitar-playing talent in this video is out of this world amazing!

I know you'll never read this, and it's a huge long shot, but I look forward to the day when I finally get to meet you phil, and personally thank you for all of the amazing songs that you've written that have helped me, and that I have been able to play for worship at my church, to help others

There are so many of your songs (if not all) that I can just listen over and over again, this one is definitely one of them. However, "Safe" brings me tears all the time - God Bless!

Hey brother Phil, my little sons Mathias and Lucas (6 year old and 3 year old) love your song "Amazing Grace". Personally I love this one you're playing in this video. When we are in the car or in the house they don't stop listening to that song. Mathias the oldest , even wants to play guitar because he has seen you how cool you play. May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless you and keep you safe so that you can keep on making gospel songs for glory to the Heavenly Father first and for us all to enjoy as well.

Whats funny is my favorite singer / guitarist before salvation is Chris Carrabba but now its you and you guys have gorgeous voices! But your love songs are to the King of King’s and Chris’ while still amazing talent is more worldly love and heart break. Kinda cool how God does that as a God wink. And you both have the coolest hair!

Phil I couldn't help but laugh when you said, "It sounds pretty and you're hardly doing anything but moving up and down the neck." oh and also, "If you don't get it, then I'm sorry." hahahahaha. Thanks for putting up this video and showing us this AMAZING song that I can't wait to learn and get before the Lord and sing it to Him. And thanks for making light of things and being funny with it. Makes me feel uplifted.

Find a good guitar teacher and work through the video with him. The Bm shape is not easy. A stretch of 5 frets. SEE BELOW. 0 2 0 6 0 0 He explained like he would to a band mate. Teaching is labor intensive process.

I watched another video that helped with the Dadgad positions but this one the one that I could not see. I found myself trying my best to figure out where his fingers were. Where is the “A” in the first into? It looks like an equally long stretch.

Awesome song, I'm worshipping to it everyday lately. I'd love to learn your DADGAD version but you didn't explain your fingerings 😞 even after watching this over and over, without walking us through the fingerings or at least doing a close up I can't get the same chords as you for some reason. I appreciate you taking the time though. That's unusual for most artists you're awesome! Just some feedback though to help make it even more worth while
@JGuitaristisiraiug8 жыл бұрын
I think it's because he's half a step down, so already in D#,G#,C#F#,A,D#. THEN he applies DADGAD, resulting in C#,G#,C#,F#,G#C#. Hope this helps anyone who's confused :)
