I grew up at Cottman and the Boulevard. I remember when the entire middle section of the Boulevard there was just a field big enough for us to play football and stuff. I remember when they opened the center up for traffic, a week or so before it opened to cars we would take our bikes and ride there on the new road before the first cars touched it. Amazing.

Possibly. I have over 500 tours covering philadelphia over the last 4 years. So if I do, it's lost in one of my old videos. If you know the neighborhood that intersection is at try looking the video up by the neighborhood, then type toon215 after. If it doesn't come up, I probably haven't covered it. I have documented over 100 philadelphia neighborhoods, but I don't spend too much time in the northeast because the views take a huge hit. Not many people want to watch quiet, clean neighborhoods (ironic, huh lol) But if it's in your budget. You can always become a level 3 member ( click join next to the subscribe button), pick the level 3 package, and join. I say that because with that package, you can make a recommendation for me to start at an address, and I will document the neighborhood for you asap. Walking tour. Or driving tour. Whatever you desire. You can cancel membership at any time. So if you just wanted to make a few suggestions to get your money's worth, you could. Then, the following month, cancel the membership. It's up to you. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day

Even after living in Philly for 16 years I am still exploring neighborhoods outside my own. The City of Neighborhoods. I have no compelling reason to go to Rawnhurst (I live in University City), but found an interesting place with Russian shops, Jewish bakeries, and pleasant residential streets.

Wow thanks for sharing your story...I appreciate it. If you get bored later on tonight. I got a new walking tour airing today at 8pm ET. I walk through a rougher section of the city (kensington) and narrate it. The footage is 10 times better then my previous tours. Cleaner picture, better audio and steadier footage. I use a camera gimbal to keep the camera smooth while I walk and talk. Check it out if you happen to have some time tonight . It will be a live video so you can engage with other commenters instantly. Be safe and take care kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3enaKuupJp0prs

Thank you for doing the Cottman Ave. area. I especially appreciate your recent Lawndale tour, especially from Loretto to Burholme Park. You passed places I lived in for the past 70+ years, including my current place next to the car wash at Rockwell. Again, thank you so much! I put the Lawndale tour in my favorites and will share it with others.

Damn I miss philly so much. I remember when I was younger further back down the road from 3:35 at Unruh ave I was always out and about playing with my friends and shit. Still remember that one park across the street from my former school Gilbert Spruance school where everyone was at during the summer back in 2009. It’s sad cause I’m pretty sure none of the kids I played with back then live in the same street anymore. Planning on visiting that part of philly once I purchase my car.

Multiplied by 200+ videos and growing. Make sure to check out the full playlist covering South philly, Southwest, West, North East, North, and Center city Philadelphia. It’s called documenting the layout of the city. I’m doing it for me and my memories when I hit my 50’s-60’s and I want to remember what my city looked like before gentrification took over. Many people appreciate it, others don’t understand. To each is own. You can always visit google earth street view and see still images of your neighborhood. Thanks for taking time out of your day to contribute to the comment section and help the algorithm... have a good Sunday 🙏🏽

@TOON2155 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting. Hood doesn’t have to reflect bad. What word do you get when you remove neighbor from neighborhood.... HOOD. Which is why I named this series “Philadelphia Hood Tours” showing both good and bad. Hood is just a shorter way of saying neighorhood. It’s sad many people correlate the word hood with having negative meaning. Have a good day thanks again
