With the wood being walnut, your sense of humor, & the drama of you sanding/buffing in & around the legs, this is my favorite episode. Its definitely one of my favorite of your pieces. Watched this video 6 times now Phil and think it's a truly beautiful bowl. Can't help thinking though that it would have been easier if your blank was exactly suare to start with. I really love watching you turn and think you are a magician with some of the pieces you have managed to turn and still keep the bark on👍. Keep up the good work.

Thank you, Colin! It may have taken less time trying to figure it all out, but I don't think it would have been easier. Plus, it would have an entirely different look, don't you think? 😂

How unfulPhiling, no bark no inclusions, no rot, no cracks, little figure. I guess sometimes even Superman is less super and more man. Very nice looking piece. And as my wife doesn't like the bark thing it is one I might try. And as always, thank you. Pete Wells in NH

Hi Phil, I just saw the reference to your video in my KZbin feed. it only took me two years to spot it...lol. What a great video! I think you are the first person to do one of these and post it up....well I've not see anyone else do it. Thanks for the references to my bowl. I do like your walnut better than the ash I used. Walnut is VERY expensive over here in the UK. and great finish as well.

Howdy Keith, You are welcome for the reference, glad you finally found it! LOL! Walnut is VERY expensive here, as well. I was at an estate sale and there were some Walnut boards laying outside on the ground. They were about 16 feet long. I think there were three of them. I asked how much and the guy said $12 and I offered $10 and brought them home! No, that doesn't happen often! I'm glad you had the opportunity to watch this video and I really appreciate you posting yours to give me the inspiration. This is one of my favorite pieces and very popular with visitors. Phil

I enjoy your channel. I'm a relatively new turner so you inspired me to try the four-legged bowl. Pretty trickey but fun.
