If you want to create an exact bead in the vertical orientation grind the bead profile in a scraping tool, flap wheel, or grinding stone, or rocking a flapping wheel and eyeball it.

I do walnut and use the same finish. I sand to 2000 grit. The rule on the finish is, once a week for a month, then once a month for a year, then once a year. Awesome job! It is great to see some cutting the wood instead of scraping only! Congratulation sir.

Phil, just finished watching your turning of the sumac piece with the hole in the side made by the branch. If I was to want to sand in there I would use something like your sandoflex. I have used just a length of bolt with a slot cut in one end. I would then cut a strip of sandpaper and slip it into the slit and it makes a butterfly that will fit into small spaces.
