That was my comment on the previous video. Glad to see it works. One way that it could be dangerous is that hot upper jar has no way to release the pressure until you open the valve. That could be why it leaked. You could put a 1/4” 4th pipe that runs from the inside air pocket on the “ bottom” of the jar down and up the outside. A U shape. Maybe that’s too much trouble.

I was thinking the same thing that the pressure from the liquid heating up is making it leak.
@scottq43448 ай бұрын
That's a neat design. The only concern that I would have is that your preheater (top jar) could possibly pressurize since it's filled with liquid and has a hot pipe in it. (That may be why it was leaking.) You might want to find a way to vent it when you're not infusing.

Non volitial flavors can simply be added after completion. During the blend. Also I like the add charcoal. Let it stand then filter out as a final step. Just my own habit

You didn't show how you installed the infuser jar with the liquid, but I'm assuming that you have the rig disconnected from both the still and the condenser and you screw the infuser jar in right side up before flipping the rig over and making the connections to still and condenser.

Why not put liquid in the jars beforehand?
@gboy12987 ай бұрын
Just curious if it stopped leaking after you released some into other jar. If so might have built up some pressure just from heating flavoring. But that’s an easy fix.

Infuser ?. Would a copper can, with lid work. No jar to leak. Glass site glasses, wouldnt it back feed into infuser when its open? . I luv making wine, have made sketchy shine, would luv to be able to buy a nice still, im looking at a vevor 13. 45).

Might be leakin from the pressure built up from heating it up

Question 🙋♂️ new to this so I have a million questions and no one to answer them hahah You only ever do one pass yeah ? I don’t run a thumper but i have been doing strip and then spirit is it necessary? Seems like way too much work for something I just throw down my gullet 😂

I don't believe there is any danger of the jars exploding unless there is a sudden temperature change. After all, those jars are designed for canning, we know they are safe above 212 F.

Hey if anyone's distilling they're distilling at their own risk! If you're going to be a moron and burn yourself, then you can't blame anyone but yourself. People need to take responsibility for their own actions!

On the topic of flavor. Peanut butter, has lots of sugar. Makes an interesting whiskey 😉. Filter it tho, before

You did a good job but it's an overly complicated way of achieving your goal. Put your flavor botanicals in a mesh cheese clothe bag, hang it from the bottom side of your lid in the distiller
