Yes they do leak water out of their balance rings especially when you break them trying to get the inner tub out lol

My childhood Whirlpool lasted over 40 years.

Whirlpool DOES offer at least 2 top loaders that are better than any LG or Samsung top loader and that is the Whirlpool commercial CAE2795FQ or Maytag commercial MVWP586GW. Of course that is only if you are interested in traditional agitator type machines.
