Excellent! Thanks for the comparison. That "warming up" sound sounds a little like Keith Emerson's opening for "Hoedown."

Oh yes! Of course I have never noticed that before! I might try to recreate that on the M102 and someone switching the philicorda ok and off! :)

I like that nice detail of clicking wood on plugin version.

Very nice, and comprehensive as usual. I worked in a dealership stocking Philips back in the dark ages, I really enjoyed playing them but there wasn’t a great deal of interest compared with the other mainstream organs. Great it’s being kept alive!

Larry Clark from The Monks used one of these. Nord had the Philicorda GM751 and GM753 available in their Sample Library.

Great to see that Vintage Cheese has acquired a Philishave. When you put your spectacles on I could hear more of a difference between the computer model and the real thing.

Yes it always helps focus the sound with these spectacles

Nice comparison! I really want to purchase an original valve version of the Phillips instrument

Thanks for sharing this well-made comparison between a plugin instrument and the original one. Including a great solo using both of the versions which reminds me to the soundtrack of "Clockwork Orange" featuring Alex' favourite Ludwig van ;-)! All the best and have a great time :-)!

Thank you Curtis! I almost played William Tell very fast, but was worried I might be accused of producing the old in out in out music

I hope you can collaborate with them on the next version of this software to share more of your insights on how to improve it. Always great to see you Fats McDebbie :)

Much warmer sound than the Farfisas, which sound good in their own right. I guess that’s valves vs transistors. If I ever need a professional stage name “Reverbeo” is now top of my list.

That first comparison I could clearly hear the difference, the hardware comes 1st place, it has a subtle softness to it, that analogue softness

Hello Steve, although the tube analog Philichorda has the most authentic sound, Beethoven's 9th Symphony was performed and sounded Really Great in any of them.

On my audio setup, the real and the “virtual” (virtuous?) versions sound so alike that I would not be able to tell them apart in a “blind” test. Or even a slightly visually impaired test. Hope that my comment deserves a “Walrus” award.

Love the video, but its a bit hard to focus because the music volume is much lower than your microphone for voice and button pressing sounds, so if I turn up to listen, your talking and sfx get too loud and if I lower, i dont hear the music much

I bet AudioThing would like to sample/model some of your stuff, the tuning fork keyboard and Electravibes, Ondioline synth, Clavioline, for instance, and the Joe Meek Cooker, although Acustica Audio might be better for that. TimP would be the guy for that job, although he seems to be working his way through the most sought-after gear, probably because of the amount of effort involved in getting it right so consistently.
@zfm10977 ай бұрын
Actually, if anyone sampled the tuning fork piano, they could place a guitar pickup against (just) the fork being recorded and get an electrified set.
