Watched this when Iwas 14 yrs old. I grew up to their music. Their music changed to fit the phases of growing up during my teenaged years .It was background music for all the phases of my life

This is part of a medley from the end of their first movie, A Hard Day's Night....when I saw this movie in the theatre back in the day, the girls in the theatre were going crazy like the girls in the movie... such good times! The Beatles was just about the most fun thing that ever happened.

Such a beautiful program! Kudos for this suggestion and for the excellent and worthy reaction!

These songs are 60 years old and still sound great. Think about that. I was 8 years old when the movie and album A Hard Days Night came out and remember going to see it in the theatre. It was a big deal to see them on the big screen and the album was their first with all original songs. To me this period, mid ‘64 (AHDN) through 1966 (Revolver) was The Beatles at their collaborative peak. Great reaction and analysis of their music Philiminizzy.

Great reaction, Phil. I was 12 when the Beatles emerged on the scene in late 1963. They originally captured everyone with their upbeat, uptempo hits. But when songs like "If I Fell" were released, I just crumbled along with so many others at the heart-wrenching, slower-paced beauty they were also able to deliver. No wonder adolescents everywhere simply swooned. 😊

Any one of these songs would have been a treasure so having three two minute wonders on the same album (and more) are exceptional and an early indicator of the huge talent and creativity that was to come.

Those harmonies! Glad you are seeing how John and Paul would frequently harmonize leads; one lead, one backing. George at this point will also participate in their famous three part harmony.

This is a monster of a program. I'm already loving your early analysis-going back for more of this!

Taken from the Beatles first movie "A Hard Day's Night". The older "cuffed" gentleman is an actor playing Paul's grandfather in the movie plot.

Wow! Blown away to walk into this one! Nice selections. To use your phrase, Philip, "this should be good!"

Phil, whether you want to eventually do a full reaction or not, you should watch the full film A Hard Days Night from start to finish. Its very impressive, and very much an inspiration for the music videos that would become commonplace 20 years later.

Some of the most beautiful music ever written! I much prefer the early Beatles to the latter ones!!!

Not to take away from how well they played live but this was dubbed from the studio recordings.

Seems also a slowed down version. Maybe copyrights?
@labajadaman2 ай бұрын
@@mrkite89The reason they were slowed down had to do problems syncing the audio to the video during production in 1964. I read about it years ago and don’t remember the details, but it had something to do with the frames per second rate conflicting with the audio source and would cause the video picture to distort or something. It all kind of made sense when I read about it.

@@mrkite89 No, it's from their first movie, A Hard Day's Night.

In this movie clip the very original intro to If I fell was cut out…🙄 The original recording is recommended for complete version. 👌
@patticrichton11352 ай бұрын
But the original intro to "If I Fell" and the entire song IS in the movie, earlier on, and so is the complete "I Should Have Known Better."
