How To Adapt To The New Rules Of Life: Living By Design, Part 4 - ‘Phil In The Blanks’ Podcast
If you’ve been doing everything “by the book” and your life still isn’t where you want it to be, you need to tune in to this week’s Phil in the Blanks podcast. Dr. Phil teaches you how the world really works -- not how you wish it worked, not how it should work -- but how it really works. Become empowered to be a leader of your life and protect yourself and those you love.
“Life is a game, and you will either be a player or be the one played,” explains Dr. Phil. “Yesterday’s rules and expectations about relationships, emotions, and interacting just simply don’t apply anymore, not like they used to … and those who figure that out and adapt to the current world will have an incredible edge.”

Thank you Dr.Phil! You and Dr.Wayne Dyer are the reason I’m still here .. Your heart & soul is magical for us that take full responsibility for our energy & thoughts… I had always thought it was my fault.. may be a few bad decisions on my part as I didn’t realize how much soul I lost.. thank you so much!! Great job Dr. Phil! You covered 4 of life's 5 basic needs. They are 1)freedom from fear, anxiety, and stress; 2) happiness; 3) control over what happens and; 4) a purpose in life. You did not mention the need to know/feel that others in your life "care" about you. The five basic needs in life are critical in shaping what happens to a person. They determine why a person behaves the way they do. You mention that and describe it in this podcast. I have two books on how these five basic needs affect learning in our schools. I would love to be a guest on your show sometime to discuss the importance of these needs with you. Also, these five basic needs also affect bullying behaviro in our schools and to some extent determine the role of shooters in the public setting.

Dr Phil, i find that analyzing my choices and influences in order to live a more authentic life can be quite painful. How can i make it easier for myself to face these hard things in order to change them? I find that i avoid doing "the work" because it feels excruciating sometimes. Thanks for real, grounded advice, so valuable to me ❤

Dr. Phil, will you adopt me? I need a father and mother. I escaped a neglectful and abusive FLDS environment. Despite my struggles, I am successful, I have good values, etc. My sister and I have PTSD and we often think about how luckily we would be to have you as our father and have such a good mother. I need a mentor. I understand you are busy and you already help so many people. I am grateful to learn from your videos. I already applied the principles to my life.

Thank you, Dr. Phil. I have an observation that the only people who “don’t” like you are those who don’t like their own BS challenged by the intelligent, and worse, revealed to themselves. These types know they’re not good, they just audaciously don’t want anyone to point it out…not to them, nor anyone whom their fake reputation will be busted.

I think the phone glitch was an act of God because I had the same thing happen with a roommate years ago back when we had answering machines... she was in her room talking on the phone with her boyfriend and I was in my room and suddenly her call was playing over my answering machine so I could hear her conversation... and I was absolutely stunned to hear her bashing me and denigrating me... I'd never been anything but thoughtful and kind to her and here she was attacking me to him... It was a real wake up call... we moved apart soon after and I never talked to her again... I was so shocked. The answering machine had never done that before and never again... just something God wanted me to know I guess.
