Same for me as well, I was 6 when CFH was released. I'm from Dallas, so my mother and my uncle would go to The Basement all the time. That was a local venue where they played a lot. They filmed Psycho Holiday video there. My mom would show me pics of them all partying. She would get me autographs unfortunately I lost my Power Metal tape they had autographed for me. I always thought Phil was the man. Even when they split I loved that first Superjoint album. Dime was also the shit as well. Phil was always back in fort between Dallas and New Orleans. Then he had his battle with substance abuse. I've also fought that battle, and it's not easy. Especially if you have the money to just continue on using and you're used to the party lifestyle that is just a way of life for many musicians. I know he was on methadone for yrs and probably still is. He's been on it for so long and has the money he can get months of take homes.

Man I still consider Psycho Holiday one of my favorite songs along with one of the best music videos ever; they’re shows were so good, all they had to do for a music video was film one...and Phil’s been off Methadone for a long time and considers that shit the devil, which it is

Got to catch Pantera a little late because I was a teenager and had a really protective mother that raised me at Merriweather Post Pavillion with Sepultura and Biohazard in 1994. I got to get their Autographs and met them on my birthday that year. Prior to that I had a dream one night that I was going to meet them in person. I did it was great. My dream came true. It was at Waxie Maxies somewhere in Maryland. We asked big Val to do the cigarette flip in his mouth and he did! My friend Wes got it all on video too back when VHS was a thing. Great memories, great band forever Stronger than All!

The last concert I saw before COVID hit was Phil, Ministry, and Slayer in Asheville NC. It could have been my final show and I’d be happy.

Check this out, I've seen Pantera 11 times in 4 different states... 1st time I heard em , I was at a party and the guy had an awesome old school sound system.. big speakers, and vulgar was on random... I was in awe.... So I dug in man, got into CFH... went to a Zombie, Pantera, Megadeth show at Sandstone Amp.outside Kansas City and it was awesome... saw em a couple more times... moved to NC in late 95 early 96... Trendkill came out on my bday, May 8th 1996... I went to their opening show - Winston Salem.... moved back to KC, saw them there a few months later, then in the fall of 96, I moved to Salt Lake City and saw them there....3 times in one tour.... moved back to KC end of summer 97... and saw em again at Summer Slam Sandstone again... by the way, saw them twice in a year living in SLC.... best all time... I'm a die hard, and will be forever....

Man that Slayer tour was the best experience in my life,so I went to the first show In ashville NC meet primus, and the 2nd show ended up backstage with Tom and Les and their wives watching a magacian do tricks for the bands,Tom handed me a beer he drank that some left and had a card in it that the magician put in it that everyone signed. Will never forget that tour.
