I respect Mayte's dancing talent but she became a known and famous dancer be cuz of Prince. When Prince had her be a part of the NPG he gave her a lot of exposure and of course her romantic involvement with Prince has landed her a gig on Hollywood exes. I'm sure she will continue to benefit from Prince ( as most of them do ) even through his death.

Actually she was a prima ballerina in Germany and a belly dancer in Egypt. Her talent does not stem from Prince. She may have received exposure from being a part of NPG but so what. Anyone in NPG got more exposure. What's the point? By the way, she was married to Prince and had his only child...there wasn't just a "romantic involvement".

Mayte was world famous ( and the the Guinness Book of World Records) before Prince for her dancing and known for her singing in Europe before Prince met her as well.The song the Most Beautiful Boy( Girl) in the World, Prince's first world wide solo hot, was actually Mayte's song which was recorded in Europe prior to Prince meeting her. Mayte gave that song to Prince to help him break away from Warner Brothers. You obviously are not old enough to remember this nor were part of the European music scene . Mostly isolated Americans say such things and don't check their facts.
