When a woman loses 2 children by a man she adored she never gets over it & when Prince died Mayte's memories & grief all came back. It probably never left. None of us know the whole story we wern't there rumors & tabloid is all we know. U never get over the death of your children unless u don't care. But Mayte does love Prince & her 2 babies 4 ever. Her & Prince were soulmates he knew it & so did she. I also believe they could have found each other again if Mayte had of reached out to him & took Gia to meet Prince. He sure did need someone to take a hold of him and seriously help him get medical hospitalization immediately after blacking out on that flight. He should have never been left alone in that big house. He was so thin and weak in appearance........it was obvious that he needed help. I think that if that had happened .....he could have possibly been alive today and on a new nutritional regimen, medication if needed, rest, a caring hand to help him through it all. It is said that he had no sleep for approx. 154 hrs. before his death...a little over 6 days........Prince must have been in a zombie like daze by then and incoherent to say the least ! But whoever called for that doctor out of state to come help .......knew the seriousness of his health at that moment...so an ambulance should have been called as an emergency existed for Prince then. I'll never understand why this didn't take place in Minnesota.

It really seems Prince and Mayte had and have a deep love for each other but some structural problems were built into the relationship from the start. He was sixteen years older than Mayte and could be very commanding. So, it doesn't seem it was a relationship of equals in terms of power. Both of them are talented people though - Prince as a musician and performer and Mayte as a dancer. The other problem was that Prince didn't get the love and security he needed as a child from his parents. So, Prince probably didn't know how to sustain a loving relationship in an on-going way. It is harder to love as an adult if you didn't experience love enough as a child. Having said all that, I agree with Mayte that their love goes on even after April 21, 2016. Her body language and hesitant speech tell me that she probably knew Prince was addicted. It seems several people in Prince's inner circle may have known. Yet, no one asked for help for him in time. I wish I hadn't started watching old interviews about the relationship between Prince and Mayte. It's obvious that he dropped her when he learned she had fertility problems. His "most beautiful girl in the world" should have been loved and cherished forever. Her inner beauty shines just as bright as her exterior! They could have filled a mansion with adopted children, but perhaps it's best that he left. Prince was more controlling than I had ever realized in the past. She wasn't allowed to call him by name. If she gained a little weight, he would reduce her pay. A life like that would have gotten worse. I hope she adopts more children and finds the most loving husband ever. As for me, I'm going to stop watching videos about my teenage heroes. Ignorance is bliss.

Prince was a very talented musician, there's no disputing that, but he had drug addictions and was extremely domineering. The lie in the Oprah interview is telling, why not just cancel it or at least not drag your wife along to it to share in the lie. What I find even more disturbing is that Prince refused to have a funeral for his dead son. Then, if you fast forward in time, Mayte had a second pregnancy which turned into a miscarriage because Prince was such a staunch Jahovah Witness that he refused her medical help. A week after miscarrying their second baby, Mayte was still bleeding and almost died but Prince still refused to allow medical help. For me, I have to separate Prince the artist from Prince the person. I'm sure he had his good qualities, but his behavior was disturbing.

I'm presently listening thru her read her book, & (I barely ever cry, mind u) I was in tears as she talked about the final term of pregnancy, Amiir's birth...I have been a lifelong FERVENT adoring fan of Prince since my teens...not just his music & persona, but his philosopher's & artist's SOUL...I was very angry as I listened to her acct of his refusing the amniotic genetic testing; I understand his concern about the risk of miscarriage, HOWEVER, there's risk in everything u do medically...them doing that would've saved Mayte, that poor fetus & Prince, so much unneeded pain, grief & heartache...I'm a trained Army Medic whom did rotations in L&D (labor & delivery) as well as in IVF & Ob/Gyn, and I'm very familiar with medical protocols Mayte was urged to observe, all good practices not just for the health & safety of the fetus, but the MOTHER, too!! Her womb & body was absorbing the traumas & exhibiting all the signs, just as the nurse said, of the mother's body innately knowing something is wrong...my heart goes out to her, and I'm trying to separate my anger at Prince's disregard for his wife, her body & what she was having to endure...just W-O-W...I'll always love his beautiful soul, his artistry, but this changed my view of him as a person a bit...my heart goes out to Mayte...u guys clearly were not meant to carry a baby to full term...love knows no limits, knows no sense of time; I hope ur souls find each other again in another life...Love & Light to Mayte, Prince & Amiir 🥺🫶✨️
