RIP 🪦 Jeff Hanneman (1962-12) Dave Lombardo couldn’t be replaced by Bostaph and he left the band, because he had a wife and kid. People are ignorant of the fact he’s responsible and WASP never showed for The 7th Star tour with Tony Iommi’s band with Anthrax opening and killing! During this break I met Belladonna! N

Slayer really was the perfect extreme answer at the time (1986) to all of the glam and mediocrity continuing to emerge in popular music. Things can only move in one direction for so long and their is always a counteraction. The more the pendelum swings left, the harder it must swing back, achieving some kind of twisted equilibrium. These guys were the perfect blend of musicians to make a big dent in that shift.

He actually said he can't be Jeff Hanneman. You cocksuckers who won't stfu about rumours or musicians and shit should go back to the 90's or just buy Kerrang! magazine if it's still published on paper. Slayer could have done something different, like a 6 song EP, would have been enough, Kerry cannot carry an album all by himself, he only did it once (GHUA), only 2 Hanneman songs on there (God Send Death, Addict), musically I speak of, they always wrote lyrics for one another's music, sometimes. They respected each other, and Kerry is a really good rhythm guitarist for sure, even back in 91 Hanneman was starting to have arthritis pain, listen with good headphones to Decade of Aggression, the left side (Jeff), he's not holding thos chords as hard as Kerry, although performs his solos perfectly.

rareapplepie Jeff Hanneman was one of Slayer's founding members. He also wrote the music and lyrics to at least 50 % of their songs. And most of their best songs, were written by him. In 2011 he got bit by a spider and caught a flesh-eating virus. It ate most of the flesh of his right arm, so he had to get medical help. They cut open his arm from his wrist, to his shoulder. He nearly died. And in 2013, 2nd of May, he did die. However not because of that spider-bite, but due to a failing kidney, as of result of his heavy drinking. He was 49 years old. Gary Holt, a guitarist from another band called Exodus, helped Slayer by filling in for Jeff when he got ill in 2011. But since Jeff never recovered, Holt is now a full-time member. Slayer and Exodus have been friends for over 20 years.
