Thanks so much for adding again to my Research Methods experience. For the past three years I have referred my students to your numerous Presentations which they have all appreciated. As Ghanaians, they have not only always enjoyed them, but also very comfortable with them as compared to the other foreign references and presentations. Thanks for the good job being done for humanity.

Hello Dr Adu, I bumped into your page while trying to find out how to analyze the qualitative data gotten for my MSc dissertation and I must say, I am learning a lot from you. Thank you for taking the time to explain every step that is needed. My data source is to be anonymous and I have 12 participants based on job roles in a small setting. If quotes are used, it might reveal the identity of the participants. Now, how do I present their information if the collective presentation of demographics is from 20 and above? And what is your advice on how to present my findings?
@drphilipadu

You're welcome @perpetuankeseifiemor6475! In this case, I suggest you present the their demographics in a collective format. Also, when you quote them, you shouldn't indicate specific participant who made that statement. You can say, "one of the participant said, ..."

Thank you, Dr. Adu. I have finally coded and done my thematic analysis after watching some of your previous videos. I am in the process of presenting my findings, and I am watching this. My question is this: Do you have a video on presenting narrative research? I searched but I have not seen it. I have searched for some articles, but I feel they are not using a narrative approach as they claimed. How can I narratively present my findings?

Thanks for the great work, Dr. Adu. Question: in some literatures, the word category is used instead of themes whilst in other works, some authors use both categories and themes when presenting their findings. I am working on my multiple case study and I was thinking of using Category and themes. Themes, so I may have the themes as the broader headings for the multiple cases whilst the category will be sub-headings for what is captured from the respective cases. I would like to hear your suggestions. Thank you.

You're right! Different terms are used but the most important thing is to make sure the findings are clearly communicated to your readers/audience. In your case, you have clearly distinguished between the categories from themes. So, you can use both terms.

Thank you sir. looking at your video , I'm beginning to wonder if one can actually do a qualitative analysis only without qualitative. secondly, I am analyzing just interview of 3 persons with 10 questions each, Do you think it's a significant number for this research?
@drphilipadu
@drphilipadu 3 ай бұрын
You're welcome Lilian! It's hard to tell whether focusing on three participants is appropriate. It depends on a lot of factors (see: eprints.ncrm.ac.uk/id/eprint/2273/4/how_many_interviews.pdf) '
