Philippine Airlines Boeing 747-400@LAX

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has placed a firm order for 54 Airbus aircraft in a deal worth $7 billion at list price.
The order includes 34 Airbus A321s, 10 Airbus A321neos and 10 of the new higher-weight Airbus A330-300s.
The aircraft, purchased as part of PAL's major fleet modernisation plan, are scheduled to be delivered starting in the second half of 2013. The first A321neo is expected to be delivered in 2017. galing ng Pinoy PILOT smooth ung landing nya..kaya ung PAL binawal sa iabng Airlines o mag direct Fly ang PAL kasi matatalo ng PAL ang mga ibang Airlines. hindi nmn Airlines ang ISYU dito kundi Pilot. kung hindi magagaling ang mga PILOTO ntin bakit sila naha-HIRE sa ibang AIRLINES abroad.

Nice to hear that PAL is upgrading their fleet of planes....but if they land on the same old..."sh***bleeep**ty" aiport, people will easily forget they've boarded a brand new plane...you know what mean?

according to wikipedia about PAL-future fleet section: Likewise, Philippine Airlines has considered the Airbus A380, but the airline concluded that the A380 is too large for Philippine domestic airport infrastructure that the airline intends to fly to. The airline also added that there are only 2 airports capable of handling the A380, Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Diosdado Macapagal International Airport.

Other Airlines have already phased-out their Boeing B747-400 fleets because these aircraft are already old. Most aircraft of Philippine Airlines for long-haul flights seems outdated and must be replaced by newer ones like the Airbus A380 and Boeing B747-8.

No, Philippine airlines won't make as much money with A380s as they would with their 777s and upcoming 787s. They may buy a couple of 747-8s as well for more pax on longer routes and more space, but they mainly now fly the 777-300ER. They currently fly A330s which shall be replaced by 787s in the near future. The only Airbus' they'll have in the near future are the old A320s they fly. m/aybe they'll buy the A320NEO or the 737MAX to replace it, they're modernising their entire fleet...
