I couldn’t help but notice - the cabin crew were immaculately groomed from boarding to disembarking. Their polish in providing their meal service was also a wonder to behold. Perhaps our old, burned out, “stewasauruses” on AAL, UAL and DELTA could take a page out of PAL’s grooming and service standards, but I doubt it.

Arriving in manila or anywhere in the philippines from abroad after not going home for a long time is the best feeling ever! You feel so excited, happy, and you will definitely will get shocked and will love the heat of the philippines once you come out of the airport. Lol.

Great to see an Australian wine on the drinks list. I have flown with PAL many times in Business and have always found the crew to be a highlight !! Loved the take off sound and vision !! To be honest the economy is basically the same as business. The extra you pay is for an ottoman and a fully reclining seat. And champagne. I have flown Toronto to Manila in coach twice, best two flights I have ever had. We were at the back of the plane and were treated amazingly.

Hi Jasper! Sadly PAL still flies their angled flat seats to SFO depending on which plane you get. Only Tail RP-C7778 and above have these newer seats. Thanks for watching!

PAL will have a new owner this year and a refleet is in the offing. Yes the 777-900 is considered and the A350s will be upgraded to the ULR version for east coast routes. 2 2 2 for business class for the 777NGs will be considered. Watch out soon. PAL will become the airline for the people by the people. 😊

PAL business airfare with direct flight to Manila from SFO, LAX and JFK are comparatively cheaper than other major airlines but the ground segment from the lounge to boarding are terrible and not as organized. Once you boarded inside the plane, the service is incredible from the food to the staff.

I'm based in the UK and I'm sorry to say is that they really need to up their game before I could return to this airline. The competition have a far superior product from the UK, with the only real benefit being shorter travelling time, of which you pay quite a premium for.

We're not impressed with PAL business class and lounges. My daughter and I flew a few times going back to the Philippines from 2017-2018. The lounge in Manila is run down, not very clean too. The one in LAX was okay, it's crowded because other airlines used it too. The PAL business class seat was okay, nothing special. If you fly with the older plane, then the seat was outdated.

Yes, sadly PAL offers 2 variants of their 777 aircraft. The newer business class seats are definitely better than the old recaro seats. PAL will need to do better if they want to compete with other Asian carriers that offer better ground service and superior seats. Thanks for watching!

Would be nice but even here in the US there is no express lane for immigration for business class. You have to register and pay for global entry which is a faster lane but unless you travel international frequently may not be worth it. There is no global entry lane in Manila and I wish they have.
