Team J in to Heathhrow, London from NAIA 12-14 hours. I flown last May 16, then the flight was cancelled, then moved on to 17th of May, PAL provided us free accommodation in the nice Century Park hotel with two free meals, the takeoff and landing was so fine. :)

Yeah. The A340-200/300 are bit notorious for (very) long takeoff roll. Good thing is, PAL's A340-300 has been replaced by a heavier A350-900 with more powerful engines (XWB-84, equivalent to nearly 5 CFM56-5C's maximum rated thrust but more fuel efficient) last 2018.

I've already accustomed to this a/c everytime I see these screaming over my house just between 4000-5000 feet high in one afternoon. They're very low when often heavy. Hehehe :)

I really enjoyed flying with Philippine Airlines , i have flown on their Boeing 777 , Airbus A340 & the new Airbus A350 but sadly due to Covid19 they no longer fly on the Manila - London route.

+zerberus500. Thanks and as for the inflight service it wasnt the best , the scrabled egg was dry and flavourless and the main meal which was either beef and rice or chicken and vegetables wasnt much good either , i could cook better myself.

The flight to London is about 14 hours but on one of my flights it was about 12 hours.
