WOKEN UP BY CHICKENS! YES, THIS IS ANOTHER PHILIPPINES BEACH HOME MORNING IN THE PROVINCE!
This is a raw look at our lives in the morning. We visit Mama Rose, eat some biscocho, do some land work, hang out with our chickens, and then head for breakfast at our neighbors beach cafe. Nothing special about this morning... just some typical Philippines Province life.
Oh, but something is happening...

One hack for Kulas: When Lanzones season comes, don't throw away the discarded skins (peelings). Collect them and dry them. You can burn them to serve as organic katols when there are too many mosquitos. A warning for Kulas: When you have mosquitos, bugs and butiki, it's best you buy a netting (Kulambo) and lay a towel (or cover) on top of the kulambo to cover you when you go to sleep. Chances are if the butiki are pooping, they also pee. Trust me, they get lucky occasionally. (I know. Coz I got blessed when I was a kid.)

hey brod one of the things I miss so much growing up in the Ilocos is waking up to the rooster crowing and the smell of burning leaves that helps to ward off the mosquitos...and of course the pandesal vendor (paaaandesaaaallll!!!!) classic barangay sounds and smells...miss it!!!!

Butiki is the most friendly and helpful reptile you should welcome in your house. Never mind their poo, you can always clean them away. House Geckos eat flies, mosquitos and flying insects. Madman May consider planting lemongrass, marigold and or citronella around, it helps get rid of mosquitos.

I live in the best city in the world, and from there is my gateway to the rest of the world, to have fun and return home energised and get back to enjoying my city. But seeing guys chilling out in the morning over in the tropics, then Kumar going surfing, because he can... As I mentioned earlier, Kumar is really Dr. Dolittle as he does communicate with the animals, and I loved how the little chicks followed him around the lot. BTW, besides having the happiest smile in the Philippines, one of the funniest things that I saw on your channel that had Kumar's infectious laughter that made everybody laugh, including myself was when you guys were on a ferry somewhere and you all woke up and opened up your breakfast box and everybody cracked up laughing as what was inside it. Good times And long live Madman and his road trip!!! (I wished he showed it on YT as I rarely use other social media platforms)

Ah yes the life in the Province. I learned very quickly why people sweep their yards every morning or early evening and light fires. To disperse the lamok. One thing for me Kyle as a 6 footer the silhig (which does an amazing job) was too short for me. Being bent over sweeping wasn't the best. Many silhig are made in Tablas. I was able to find silhig with a longer handle. Bye bye to the lower back pain. Your place on the beach has really evolved. Its so beautiful Kyle.

Ive come across this video and i remember my lola everytime the tiki does its signature laugh/sound she would always assume that a letter from her son would come, who at that time was a sundalo.. days later, letter from his beloved son would really come. Get a carnivorous plant man that should help with the insect problem in your place. A venus fly trap or a pitcher plant should be good. It doesn't require much maintenance since it gets its nutrients from the insects it catches. You just need to clip the dried leaves to keep it looking pretty.
