Love the Philippines - spent many years there in the 60's and '70's. Hope to return soon, as soon as I sell my stuff here in the states (know anyone who wants to buy a tug boat?). Really enjoy your travel videos, I'll be keeping up with you as you travel the PI.

I'm not sure if they were allowed to film in the underground river? My friends were not allowed to take photos when they were there :/
@CelinaJanePelisco10 жыл бұрын
Nadine Diamante Ngee as in? Too bad >.< I hope they were able to take a video though. That kind of rule is not justifiable coz other tourist take photos & videos too! But 1 thing is for sure, digicams are not allowed in that area. Coz the monkeys will get em.. Maybe that's why your friend wasn't able to take shots. I think they only allow the big cameras..
@CelinaJanePelisco10 жыл бұрын
It's Darlyne! Yep! Everything that produce sounds & little things like keychains, cellophane, cellphones with chains & etc.! Coz they come to you get it.

Wish you'd make one stop for history: Manila American Cemetery & Memorial. It contains the largest number of graves of our military dead of World War II, a total of 17,202. All those US Soldiers and Filipino people that lost their lives during the War and the Bataan death march. Their lives lost allows us the freedom we have and those in the Philippines. The mountainous scenery is beautiful. But a lot of tragedy was experienced and witnessed during that War.

Filipinos speak english, thats our second language. We learn english since first grade.

Even Kindergarten actually :D hihi
@itsdarlyne388210 жыл бұрын
Yeah, English is the second language, but what I find interesting is some areas do NOT speak Tagalog. Why is English the second language and not Tagalog?
@blezie2410 жыл бұрын
I spoke cebuano or visayan and tagalog. Some people doesnt speak visayan either. Same thing.
@itsdarlyne388210 жыл бұрын
Yeah, like some relatives of mine only speak Visaya and not Tagalog but yet English is the second language. Go figure...
@sachiko.9 жыл бұрын
+It's Darlyne! National language is tagalog, and the rest are other dialects. I'm pretty sure schools the teaches kids tagalog, always. Filipino subjects are always in tagalog.
