I use my Hue Go as a “color clock”, with routines. For instance, if it’s 7 am, it turns very dim red; if it’s 8 am, it turns yellow; if it’s 9 am, it turns green. This way, in case I wake up naturally, I know if I can go back to sleep or if I should start thinking of getting out bed. 😂 It’s easier than grabbing my phone.

anything with a lithium ion battery that is left plugged in will reduce battery life unless they have a specific function to prevent overcharging which i doubt in a small light.

You can use one of many apps. I have the official Philips Hue app for working with the Bluetooth version of the Hue Go. I don't have the Bridge and don't need it. App is this one play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.signify.hue.blue&hl=en_GB Simple enough to set up, just click Settings > Light > + Then select your Hue Go once detected Also, you will need to ensure you have the "New version" of the Hue Go lamp. The older version is bridge only so consider that when buying

Awesome video! I have the original and had a lot of flickering and banding issues when I used it with video. Same thing with the light bulb, did you have problems with that? I'm considering buying version 2 but if it flickers, it's useless to me.

Yea, I’ve had those issues on and off. You can fix it by shooting in the correct shutter speed, I’m just not sure what that info is. I’m looking into this now!

@@kevinmartins7244 With "color cycle" I meant a mode where the lamp changes the colors continuously in a loop. With color mixes like for example "ocean", "forest", "sexy time", whatever. I read that with the bridge and normal app you can do that but I don't recall where in the menu. I only have the blutooth lamp model and unfortunately there isn't such an option, while other brands do propose it with their blutooth lamps. I just want the color loops without the whole wifi setup. But I also wanted fluid subtle colors variations, which why I chose Philips Hue but it's kind of overkill since it doesn't color loops without a bridge.

I got 2 of these today, both new versions BUT they have very different colour saturations! When i looked in the app they have different hardware platforms version numbers, I guess this is why they don't produce the same colours? Anyone know if this is common? The power adapter makes noise like a beeeeeeee...? I hear noise from the power adapter every time and i also hear noise from the lamp depending on how much brightness emits. Lower brightness makes less noise

Justin, you love hue so much, don't you 😃 I've got around 20 bulbs I think. But now I'm slowly declining on the use of Hue. In fact I've replaced a few of them with conventional light sources again. I do still wanna get the Hue Go, but I can't find a use case for it, well, except the in car lighting which was cute, or maybe could place it on the table when watching things with the Hue Sync box? I'm sure it would look cool when combined with the other lights. But first, I need to get that sync box 😆 I shall take care of that upon my next visit to the states.

How do you know when hue go lamps are fully charged?,as my 2 recently newly purchased go lamps lose charge very quickly when activated by motion sensor as part of a home theatre room setup. Do not use power outlets as these are situated at opposite end of room,avoiding extensions. Not happy with shott periods of charge on lamps. Something not right,is there a setting I need to make on go lamps ?? Please help

Battery life of Hue Go continues to drain while off because they are connected all the time (this is a flaw I failed to include). For continuous use, you'll want them plugged in.

Hue products are absolutely the best but..... price is way out to Wack. I bought a bridge and two bulbs and that’s where it needed 12 months ago. There are cheaper brands. I use a cheaper bulb with no quality loss. Sorry Hue but I like to spend my money on more realistically priced products.
