Let's say you wait a day or two without shaving, but you want a super close shave. Do you think it would be effective to use the Oneblade to get the hair length down noticeably and then follow up with a regular cartridge razor to get a smooth shave? I find I get little to no razor burn if my facial hair is short enough. When it's longer and I use a cartridge razor, I tend to get much more razor burn.

Could you do a comparison between the Remington Durablade and the new Omniblade?

How does the closeness of the shave from oneblade compare to an electric shaver. I don't have a beard and am looking for as close a shave as possible.

Really nice review. I decided to get the Durable instead of the One Blade because the head is guaranteed to stay sharp for 6 years. I find that it doesn't shave as close as the One Blade because the head has a small comb which is permanently attached to it. You are supposed to change the head of the One Blade every month or so, so that works out pretty expensive vs the Durablade which will last for 6 years.

How is your experience with the Durablade?
@maximc70893 жыл бұрын
@@mattstolzman The Durablade works very well in trimming up the hair. It will not give a close shave because it is not a shaver, it is a trimmer which gives a fairly close trim. Shavers tend to lift and cut the hair, therefore, allowing the hair to grow back beneath the skin, causing hair bumps. This cuts above the skin level so does not give hair bumps. I was going to send the Durablade back because it was not holding charge but upon experimenting, I found that I had to allow it to empty the charge before recharging and then it's fine. This doesn't happen with lithium batteries but does with ni-cad, so I am suspicious of what battery is in it. One thing I found out was that it could pinch the skin when it is running out of charge and then stopped suddenly. There is no way to know how much charge it has left because, although it has a light which blinks to alert, it doesn't seem to slow down before emptying. The blades don't move as fast as the Oneblade. In all, I'd say that it is very good value because it's cheap, guaranteed for a long time and has no running costs.

Are the blades interchageable though? If yes, then maybe using the oneblade shaves and the chinese blades could be kind of getting the best of both...ish?

I just received the fake blades from Amazon. They last one half a shave. I’m pissed.

Can oneblade shave as close as foil electric shaver
@FixYourValues5 жыл бұрын
I would say yes

The Oneblade is a hair clipper so will not shave as close as a shaver, unless it's a cheap shaver. Shavers are designed to lift and cut the hair whereas clippers will just cut the hair which gets in its way.

I hate the one blade because of how they purposely designed the blades to break off any accidental drop off 6 inches
