Please let me know Aquarius waterpik waterflosser is better or Philips 7000 waterflosser with quad streamer tips?and quad streamer tips has advantage on other or not? Your idea is very important for us.

Hi Cyrus. We have a comparison video coming soon. I still prefer the Waterpik Aquarius overall. I like what Philips have done with the Quad Stream tip but I don't necessarily think it is a game changer for most people. We are not conducting clinical studies though to be able to compare the data. As such no independent data comparing the 2. This is just my thoughts having used both.

I’ve noticed that with my waterpik , even if I use it and then floss afterwards, I still see plaque. Does the sonicare offer better cleaning? My end goal is to never have to floss again!

There is no evidence to suggest that the Sonicare is 'better' as such. Or what evidence that exists is limited.

I would say you need to brush better. Use a Oral-B with floss Action head, with colgate regular and hold it 5 sec on each teeth. When I do that, I water floss and get nothing out of flossing after. The dentist is amazed.

The countertop units have to be plugged in to function. Whether you keep them connected to the power outlet after use is entirely up to you. There is no reason they have to be left connected to power.

On mine, the motor goes up and down, up and down in speed. Is it supposed to do that?

What model do you have? Have you got it set on a specific mode? Does it change or remain consistent at any point if you change nozzles/pressure settings etc.

Waterpick is better? Maybe if you want to wake up the whole family. My old WP is down, and the newer model of WP are very LIGHT and LOUD. I am still wondering what to do.

The Aquarius is just noisy period. The reviewer here is measuring the noise level from a Sonicare with no water in it. It makes much more noise when the tank is empty which he is well aware of.

Interesting. In our testing (admittedly not scientific, just at home with a decibel meter), in operation, the Aquarius produces around 70 decibels of sound no matter the mode or the pressure setting chosen. The power flosser on the other hand produces around about 70 decibels only when set to the highest pressure level of 10. Set to level 1 and it is operating in the region of 52-54 decibels, nearly 20 less than the Aquarius. And yes, I had water in the units when testing.
