Great, it works awesome here with cheap Wiz lamps. These were dumped here at the local shop.

This was great! I was able to take it a bit further with RGB Wiz bulbs. Thanks for the knowledge on this.

Thank you! That's cool, did you use the RGB Lighting Controller or just converted it in a formula? :)
@DesertSunTechnology2 ай бұрын
@ I used lighting control with virtual output and instant of “true” I put in rgb numbers but I think it could work going the route that you took with the rgbw led strip.

Nice one Niko, I wonder if this would also work for Tapo lights.

Thanks Paul, yet to be tested as Tapo/Tuya etc have no official integration. There are some reverse engineering approaches with TinyTuya and Python.

Nice video man. Thanks. Would it be possible to do a video on connecting a smart life app (wifi switch) to loxone? On and Off commands
@theautomationgym3 ай бұрын
Thank you, I'll have to give it a look. I've never tested/seen the SmartLife devices. A quick google search suggests Tuya operation so maybe TinyTuya with a Raspberry Pi?

Thank you for this great tutorial! Two questions... Did you try to implement the CCT function? i found this to be the tricky part when it comes to integration into the Loxone light controller And how about the colour light bulbs from WIZ? Any chance to see an update of this video, showing the integration of CCT and RGBW? If not, still very useful video for me!
@theautomationgym2 ай бұрын
Thank you, glad you liked it. I'll have to test the CCT function - as tunable white is available but I can't forward it to virtual output :( If they are RGB - you can set the output of the Lighting controller to RGB and then break the value in an RGB Lighting Controller - to send with the VO. I'll try to get some RGB GU10 to test.
@DesertSunTechnology2 ай бұрын
I was able to set tunable as well as rgb I did have to do a lighting controller for each color and each tunable white but once set you can just select which one as well as for dimming.
@Nukles852 ай бұрын
Can you also change light colors in Loxone with these lights?
@theautomationgymАй бұрын
Yes you can! I've just purchased some coloured GU10s to set up the example for RGB, should be here soon 🤞🏼

is it on ESP ?

I'm not quite sure. I assume it's a similar chip inside but a custom script on it. Maybe a BL808,but I'll have to open one to find out :D

@theautomationgym - i bought a shelly rgbw pm, i use it for staircase lighting. As i can integrate all good with UDP and the Lighting Controller in Loxone Config - one thing i cannot get is how to reflect in the app if someone pushed the button? Right now i have a Virtual Input which will map if the shelly was on/off and i map it to ON/OFF fields but with this i cannot get the dimming working. Any thoughts ?
@fatsoPL86Ай бұрын
hey sorry for spamming, i managed to pin that into the Mood, so now when someone changes the state with physical button, the mood will be chosen, either on or off.
@theautomationgymАй бұрын
I think what you are trying to do is send the shelly feedback command right? If so go to the shelly side and when On/Off create 2 commands to send a signal to a VTI , that should also reflect in config. Example: Switch pressed On username:password@192.168.1.X/dev/sps/io/*API COMMAND HERE* www.theautomationgym.com/posts/loxone-api-connector

@@theautomationgym RGBW PM (new shelly device) can now send UDP notifications, so i have a VI with that UDP command filtered, so i know when it's on/off using a physical button on the wall (momentary switch, not the one from loxone). So i had difficulties getting the proper status in application, especially when i was using the dim option. At the end i used the Mood input of LIght Controller so that the mood is selected based on the value from VI. That solved my issue. Thanks though, i just learning with your videos and try to extend the use case scenarios. Keep on adding stuff here, please :-)
@theautomationgymАй бұрын
@@fatsoPL86 I've not had a look at the new shelly devices, however I do have a very similar use case with feedback.(Old RGBW and Dimmer) - I have to get some time to make a video about it here, hopefully sooner rather than later ;)

Did you ever had issue with the UDP commands not coming through? Is that why you implemented the repetition setting. Or is this just to be sure? Thank you for sharing very helpful examples!
@theautomationgym2 ай бұрын
Hi thanks, glad you liked it. Yes! I've had quite a few udp commands being missed in the past and also with these lights too, hence why the repetition. Usually, the first repetition is the most important and it's fine after.
